Thanks lightning69 for the feedback, but as I mentioned that I am already on Froyo, hence no need to pit right?
*
Which rom are you going to flash?

If you are in Froyo and want to flash to Gang Bang rom, then you need pit ...to change the partition size required by GB.

If you are flashing to another froyo rom then no need pit.

i received an email from samsung, and they claiming that the 1st value plan(RM30) is including in this package!
so monthly payment will be RM30(voice) + RM88(data) - RM10(discount) = RM108!  drool.gif
This amount roughly the same with my current SGS package  doh.gif

My SGS will give to my gf, so i will still read n support this thread!  thumbup.gif
because all the sifu here are damn nice! rclxms.gif

I am thinking of flashing to Speedmod too, but i read somewhere it won't support Juwe's Ram customisation hack so that is not good for me now.

With too much time on hand, i decided to change my 4 tab lockscreen icon to suit my application. The default icon is for messaging and it cannot be change so i went into the zip file and replace it with a camera icon because I think it would be more useful to set the custom application to access my camera from the lockscreen.

Here is the results...

Did some modification to the Bezke_XXJVP_Theme.

Didn't like the battery icon so i change it to the circular battery with larger text.
Change the 4 Tab Lockscreen custom app to a Camera icon instead of the default messaging icon.
Change the Extended Power menu with new color icons
Change the Options icons back to stock colored icons.
Don't like the wood USB picture when connecting the SGS to the PC so I modified it with a nice blue USB pictures which have the USB symbol in white when not connected and turns yellow when connected to PC.

Below are the results....

let's discuss something:

What do you use your SGS for? Why so you want to buy an SGS or smartphone/ ANdroid in the first place? Bcoz it's an IN thing? Bcoz your friends has one? Bcoz iphone sucks? Bcoz you wanna be productive? Bcoz you are a geek?

How do you use your SGS? Tell us your most use features and for what purpose? biggrin.gif
*
I bought the SGS because I want a smartphone where I can suft net, facebook, messenger, Whatsapp, check email, photo and video for facebook, and games. I went for SGS because I thought I give Android a try. Its also the cheapest 1Gz phone @RM1300 but soon I realised that I could have gotten the Digi iPhone4 package for almost the same price.

My current celcom bill is RM88 which include 1GB internet and iPhone Digi will be RM58

RM88 x 24 = RM2112
RM58 x 24 = RM1392
-------------------------
Difference RM720

So Digi iPhone price RM2000-720=Rm1280 which is the same as the SGS. But since I already bought this SGS, i just have to stick fir now.

1 tie up  vs 1 no tie up
1 pay advance vs 1 no need to pay advance..

or u can consider switch to Digi Smartplan RM68/month...
*
That is what I thought when I bought my SGS. I don't want to get tie up to 24 months contract. But I was wrong there. RM58 per month for 200 minutes of call + 1GB internet is the cheapest deal anyone can get so I should have taken it instead. If the plan is more expensive than other plan, then I probably would not want a 24 months contract, but since it is the cheapest around I should have taken it. In fact even non iphone user would want the Digi iphone plan.

That is not a button where you can press. Its only a hole where the mic is.

Flash support is not all good. It is the number 1 battery consumption and that is why apple didn't want to go with it. With html5 support coming who need flash.

+1 you're right. usually the things that those iphone users have in common is that they feel like they are superior and those who are not using iphone are sucks. honestly, i dont even want to start a fight with them whenever they start talking about iOS. like that one time when i said the Android Market doesnt have any good apps for studying human anatomy, then they'll laugh and said "iphone is better la weyh, see see, got so much apps also." but, when i start talking like, "hey, i can do usb tethering for my current plan just like that, you guys cannot cause have to pay more. lalala" and they will like, "alaa, what about it anyway? galaxy s is ugly laa, come fight iphone retina display lah. oh, can you skype with video? can you video call with ym? android s*cks la weyy."  it's FREAKIN' annoying.  doh.gif  doh.gif

even before this we got holypredator for his complaints about the galaxy s gps, i think all the forumer in here are still being nice to him. dunno la what happen if he was in ip4 forum, confirm kena bash habiss. lolzz
*
What are you trying to say here? iPhone can teether since 4.3.2. iPhone do and will have the best apps in one place.

So android can customise the phone and you should look beyond that. You should start using your SGS that is run the great apps available for it and that is more important than anything else. What is the point flashing roms to solve problems everyday and not actually doing anything productive. You can have the best hardware in the whole wide universe and if the software is lacking, then its no good!

Yes, I do have gps problem with my SGS and so are many user here. These are the things you hear almost everyday here...
"why is my GPS not working anymore when I flash JVP?"
"Why is my bluetooth not working in XXJVH etc?"
"Why is the Auto Brightness not working?"
"I think the wifi signal very weak with the new roms"
and many more...

Just use your phone lah...

A phone regardless of brand is for one purpose i.e. that is to do what its suppose to do.

I thought EZbase suppose to be lightweight but the EZbase-PDA-XWJS3.tar.md5 is 287MB.

What about the pit. Only 1 pit file for both froyo and GB? The last time I flash to GB i use some pit file 512 ???
