Well, don't take it too seriously lor. Besides, this thread is supposed to discuss about iOS 5 and not about Office app support. Do you seriously think Apple gonna make anything that's compatible with other? laugh.gif

Agree. This thread is for those who wants / already tried iOS5 to share their view about the new iOS. No offense. smile.gif

IMHO, full office apps is likely dependent on the developer, not the new iOS. Like how they introduce garageband together with ipad2. As a seperate app and not together with the iOS. I think they may do it in the future, give them some time. But still, for me, it will not have full functionality like current Ms Office, i find it not so convenient to work on a touch screen for my office works, unless you get a keyboard.

@ brucesss why would you want to send thru SMS? iMessages only works when both parties have iOS5 ... so what exactly is going on here?

@ un_id we've already told you... go bug Mr. Ballmer. no one here has any way / method of helping you. He does.

I think you already answer your own question. It's based on your AppleID. Apple already specify that iMessage is to break carrier dominance for SMS.

BTW, just came across a forum discussing this query. One of them point out that iMessage will check if the user is online before providing you with the option to send via iMessage, otherwise it will be normal SMS.

iMessage will only become available when the recipient is flagged online. Else it will be sent as SMS. That's the intended process.

Yeah, the reason to have Imessage to introduce messaging system to non cellular iDevices as mentioned on the keynote.

Sorry, type too fast.

Anyway, why you wanna mix SMS with iMessage? Already said only available among iDevice that support iOS 5. If the recipient is not using iDevice or using iDevice that are not compatible, it won't even allow you to use iMessage at all.
