Read up Gen-X posts / blogs. It explains it all, he took all the pains to write the answers. At least show some appreciation for it by taking your effort to read it and coming in here taking a short cut to just ask. Question has been asked many times and continuously in the year since the MBB2 card was launched.

i read it but did not mention answers of my questions. I'm asking on visa and mastercard of this MBB card.

Thank you for reading my blog. Well I mentioned that for shopping MC better since we get free gifts. Now, the thing is what is the diff in your case? You already got the MC in hand. If you worry so much, go get another Visa card and problem solved.

Thanks for yr advice GenX. Initially i applied for visa but in the end i got mastercard instead. I got these cards pre-approved since i'm MBB user so there's no forms required and it was handled by CS at Ipoh branch.
I was worried that mastercard cant be used in some countries cos the purpose i applied CC just for my overseas spending. Was thinking to apply UOB visa card....Lady's card? hmm.gif

I like you, worry too much and plan in advance, just like me tongue.gif I don't think you will face any major problems with merchants accepting MasterCard as most places that accept Visa also accept MasterCard.

As for UOB Lady's card, the overseas conversion rate is higher than MBB MC even with 2X UNIRinggit. Unless the card can save you money with the discount at a particular merchant in Malaysia or Singapore. But if you really want a UOB card, look at the new revamp One Card. Or alternatively get a UOB Debit Card to withdraw cash from ATM but you got to maintain RM500 in the account and there is a RM12 fee for overseas withdrawal.

MasterCard good for shopping, it's the official card for the Great Singapore Sale and Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival. click here to read my article.

I just saw this LOL post. Guess, you have confused yourself with AMEX and VISA/MasterCard? tongue.gif
AMEX uses the four digits printed on the front side of the card. smile.gif
