I wonder what's the paycheck for the electrical engineer that working with carigali? Is it the same with DE, geologist,etc..consider this for fresh grad...also how about the offshore allowance?

my exp is close to 5 years...

I suspect it will still be 4K for the EE on grade E1. I don't believe that they segregate the fresh grads or those in E1 into different remuneration scheme that early. Usually after a couple of years once you're in your individual skill groups then the technical skill allowance (DE, Geoscience, Petroleum Engineer) will kick in.

Then again, my info is kinda outdated.

now fresh grads regardless of which dept they are entering to will start with rm4k basic salary. but i do have a friend who has working experience of 2/3 yrs, his previous salary was less than 3k, when he joined petronas with 2 yrs exp, his salary is also rm3.5k (during that time fresh grads earn rm3.5k).

I'm not sure about starter-ups but if you're a technician in Petronas you can take exams if you'd like to 'upgrade' to being an engineer. You're valued more as well, since you have technical skills that a lot of engineers do not.

New fresh grad (engineer) salary will be rm5k starting next month
