At last my auto gate is up (no motor yet).  This is one of my satisfied item, so far...RM6,250 for 14' gate with motor, small gate and pillar lights.

Total installation time about 6 hours, including paint touch up...
*
Today the motor is about to install. However, I notice the motor has no name/logo printed on it, so I rejected. Was told that they will use MTech motor during commitment. But the shape, design looks the same.

They call me to ask if DC Moto 905 is OK. I am still considering. Any comment?

i would have been nice if the tnb meter is not located in the central of house..  but welcome to BU!
*
Fully agree...

But I think left and right also not space.

Initially was higher, but was put much lower now due to "not sure true" comment from TNB contractor that too high, not appropriate position for the meter reading.

And you are in BU?

Thought is Kim?

Yeah, if meter is on the side look better. Maybe try to box up the cable, put a small door if incase TNB want to inspect you can open up the box.

Thanks for the suggestion, will consider.

ah, yes indeed most of the BU houses are placing their 3phase meter at the gate pillar..
*
Yeah...did consider that, but the pocket will be lighten by 3k.

Not sure how is DC Moto compared to MTech. But from what I know, DC Moto 905 is OK.
It allows either of the gate to be opened individually.

Thanks for reply. But notice the brochure of DC Moto states that the gate size must be < 1.8m per wing, look like can't handle normal size gate leh...my gate size is 7' per wing.

Yes, will be using arm type. Not sure 905 is enough support for the gate or not.

The auto gate motor & gear system is to move the gate. Thus, the actual weight of the gate itself comes into question. If you gate is light (using lightweight material) maybe is will work. Why don't you try checking with the agent?

BTW, DC Moto 905 is not the arm type.

Really, then I don't think DCMOTO has any model for arm type. Right? The same agent recommend me Aprigate, another recommend Jackpro. Now still unsure which to select.

To the best of my knowledge, DCMoto does not have arm type.
As for those arm type auto gate system, I did not do any research on them.
So, cannot comment.

are u using those big siren type of alarm?
I somehow find this ineffective...we have a couple of neighbours having this sort of alarm which triggers even during rainy days..sooner we are all immuned and couldn't care less, it is just like 'ohh..another false alarm'. I think BU11 has quite a good community within, maybe just a phone triggering alarm will do, and you could then call the security guards to check out your house..

just a tot.

Today my Gate supplier called that they will refund me RM1,800 for the auto gate system. So my 14' gate with small gate, pillar light, bracket and no plate is RM4,538.00.
