and the wage structure too is a problem...i dont think a player like Sneijder would settle for anythg less than a hundred thousand per week..if these 3, De Gea PJ and Young do come, then imo another signing is unlikely...Varane's link has also gone cold now...maybe, just maybe we can finally see some reserves break into the first team

I'd keep O'Shea just for that reason. He can still have a part to play even if he's behind the others in the pecking order. If Brown & O'Shea goes, we're left with Rio, Vida and Evra as the seniors. Jones 19, Smalling 22, Evans 23, Twins 21 and if we end up signing De Gea(21), that's a very young set of defenders and GK. As good as they are, it's still too early to put our trust in them to play together regularly(Rio's injury concerns, and god help us if Vida and Evra are out for a couple of months together at the same time).

De Gea 20m, Young 16m, Jones 16m(not suppose to come this window).. and we still haven't brought in anyone for our most pressing need. Just like what happened in 98 after we spent so much on Stam, Yorke and Blomqvist, the club may want to recoup some money back.

priority is in the middle of the park, we have enough wingers even if we dont sign Young. Alot of players are fast, but not all have the football brain and energy to play in the middle of the park IMHO.

Ashley Young and Modric was BPL proven, thats why they was tag with 20m, Especially Ashley Young who is English player. As we all know, English player always rated high.

as for pogba, morrison and the others next season will be their "intro" season starting with the league cup.they may look ready now, but the playing field isnt the same at the moment tho they are knocking all the right doors.

yea, i think thats why he's worth 20million. but if young at 20million already considered 'terrific signing' (quoting someone), i see modric or sneijder at 25million to be super-worth-the-money signing

oh, also, maybe SAF will wait for the U21 games to end, then see whether got other gems to sign
