I just got back from taiwan. Wah the people there so polite, even you just browsing and don't buy anything they still say thank you to you.

I really recommend using a driver, actually got one good one for taipei area. Highly recommended!! Rm320 for one day (no fixed hours like other drivers eg 8hr, 10hr etc).

I managed to arrange 2day itinerary into 1, and also this driver took me to many different places . Went jiufeng, a historical war memorial site, old gold mining town, dansui, king kong rock/mountain, pingsi, shifeng, and at the end took a cable car trip and visited night market.

He is an old uncle, look like gangster but very honest and will tell you which shops to go take a look and see (eg when go jiufeng, he will ask if you be more careful, as they are criminals about..the black skin ones.i duno la, he say one..im thinking maybe those nigerian or wat)

Actually I caught a really bad cold when I was up at yangmishan, and this driver took me to his local doctor (who was a malaysian doctor practicing in taiwan). The driver use his health card so i got a cheaper rate for all my medication (around twd150 or rm15).

Anyway, taichung was great, nice n sunny. paperdome, puli king garden was a waste of time. And while I was in taipei, it rained alot..kinda depressing. I stayed in ximending so when I get back via mrt, my supper is Ah Zhong mee sua =) My gf came and bought alot of clothing, esp winter cloth. The only thing I bought from taiwan was a handphone.

yes it is recommended. Alisan is located around the southern region of taiwan. taipei is at the north
yes its quite worth it IMO. something different than the usual tourist spots

let say my flight is in 24Mar til 2Apr,

so is it the recommend that i stay the first 6days in Taipei 1st , then only move to southern, plus alison n chiayi is it nearby

plus from southern to Tao yuan airport is it far?

i think you should do alisan and chiayi first since the travelling time involved would be much much more compared to travelling around taipei. Taipei u still can squeeze a few places to visit in one day as long as you have energy.

its pretty far but with bullet train the journey will be about 2-2.5 hours. though its not really cheap though.

Any cheap hotel near fengjia night market? found this 拓程商旅 but cost about rm200

from taipei to gao xiong about 200 plus. not too sure about the hsr card.

4 Apr check out and move to Taipei ,

i have 2 full days to utilize , other than Alison, what other places is nearby n is nice to visit

well alternatively you can settle down taipei on first day and do some light travelling and then go south early next morning. well u can visit gaoxiong or kending. just have a look at first page or do some googling there should be ample info about where to see.

means the 1st day i settle down in Taipei then the next morning book another room in southern like for 2days

there are many ways that you can do this depending on your physical condition as well as your travel mates. dont need 100% follow my recommendation one.    but that's what i would do la. dont stress myself too much on my first day of arrival.
