But 3100 for that spec is not bad wink.gif

I suppose I can live with the +8GB RAM for the GT540M downgrade
*
Wait.. 3100 For N53SV i7 12GB ram? O.o

Extra RM500 for Core i7Quad depends on your usage. What's your usage?
*
Most of the time, I used the laptop for CS5, simple video editing and playing pop-up/big fish games.

hmm.gif hmm for those things you're doing Corei5 is sufficient. But if you want to make it last a few more years, then +RM500 is worth it. Maybe CS7 need i7. lol

12GB ram with that price  shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif
and why do you need 12gb ram for???
*
I'm an Architect who does a lot of designing and visualizing using 3dsmax and other 3D softwares along with Autocad and Photoshop. The ram is to support better quality of renderings. I've used 8gb before and it seems that i can push it more than that and for something that worth around rm3k, it does pretty well biggrin.gif

I bought mine at Sunway Pyramid's IT centre. Original price was rm3400. I bargained till rm3100. Hahaha

Depends on how you use it for renderings. I do a lot of masterplanning and a lot of 3D trees and cars which has pretty high polygons.

lol, 1 archi, 1 interior... well when wan find jobs, find me... im a enviro-urban planner...
using gis, cs5 n google earth. 4 gb ram got slayed in the process
my advice, 8 gb will not be sufficient 4 cs5 alone if u do large scale apartments drawings. with colourings in cs5 i doubt 8 gb cukup too..
GO 16 GB!!
