Just use ur marimo as the white mice...then u'll know whether its a white lamp or a UV lamp... ...KIDDING!!...LOL..

Sigh...guess my marimo dying. Or already dead. Sad. I tried the ways to save it already. The nano now ripped itself apart. And the giant looks crazy yellow.
I guess marimo ain't suitable to travel long distance and keep in such as way. =_='' Didn't even get the chance to see it healthy and bloom.

Hi, would really appreciate if someone can advise me if my marimo is dead    have kept it for 4 plus months, change water every week, thought the color looks dullish...and it don't seems to have grow bigger...thanks.

The fishes and shrimps won't much on them? I mean if I put them together? Without other weeds?

What kind of fishes and shrimps that are suitable? I'm not too sure myself.

I wish to keep one though but unfortunately not at the moment.
It looks so cute to me. Anyhow, I wonder how it feels like when holding them on hands

You do need oxygen tank. A very good filter. Lights. A cooler, or a fan. You can consider this an expensive pet if you do wanna keep them.

1. Full tank cycle. Along with your moss and decorations. (Set up a tank and leave the filter running for minimum 1 week. Better if a month.)
2. Make sure the PH is stable. Get a PH kit to understand how to use it.
3. Make sure it's 26C below. Cool it down with chiller or fan.
4. Make sure you have lights, better yet, self timer that turns on 8 hours a day.
5. Drift woods that is cleaned. For the shrimps to hide so they wont get stressed.
6. Best not to put any fishes inside it.
7. Finally put like 5~8 shrimps inside to test.

p/s : everything above is just roughly how it is. Better you go and check out shrimp forums.

Anyone knows where can I get a decent bottle? I went to Ikea yesterday couldn't find a ball like glass with cap that suit me. Either too bad or too small ><

Haha I used to rare alot of fish, you noe flowerhorn that crazy times. Big medium small tank also got. But now I prefer something cute and small like a cookie jar!

Sorry bro. I understand it's cool to have a pet in a cookie jar. But unless it's plants, no pet can live happily in that. Sad case. Or maybe insects? That might work out. Even a guppy get stressed in a cookie jar. =(

And LeeYung. Sure I'm around bro. Still loving my marimo. I've been real busy taking care of my plants included tons of herbs like sage, lavender, mint, balm, stevia, marimo, and my pet cats and budgie. And also my job =_=''. Too busy.

But I didn't rare any fish just marimo. Mariomo cant live with the lid close?

Nah...not really. I just like exotic stuff. And frankly, everything I learned is from forums. Google teaches you basically everything. Except herbs. Since they don't teach you how to grow a 4 season plant in a tropical land. But I've got a nice friend teaching me all I needed.  So I don't mind sharing what I know since I understand it's really crap when nobody is helping you.

Thanks for the marimo furballs which got it this afternoon. Besides, the giant is definitely bigger than expected and also the nano is really nano as well. Looking them "swimming" and "breathing" sure to be enjoyable.

Anyway, it's a great deal with leeyung and in fact he did shared some of his own experience with me before I owned my furballs.

one day i found that my nano marimo have give birth to super nano marimo~ i dunno is "tercabut" or naturally "give birth"
but the super nano is very round in shape doesn't look like is "tercabut" from nano bcoz i didn't wash them two days b4 that happened~

thanks a_sim... just now headache on the new setup of my tank which is now housing some cardinal tetras, ottos, algae eater and 1 small pleco (dunno what type but a small type, not the RM2 one...) still doing research on the best setup and landscaping it. so i guess once i receive tomorrow they gonna stay in temporary container before my setup is completely ready to accept them btw i'm planning to put them in a 2'x1' tank with a lil touch of landscaping m using taiyo canister filter and 2' white and blue led light. just my concern now is the tank temp currently at 32°C. might be getting fans for cooling purpose... gonna use black soil and maybe some dirftwood... see how lah

haha with the price spending sure need to learn before jumping in la... btw for sure my aro in other tank not the one i gonna put the balls the tank i gonna house the balls 2feet by 1 feet only (mentioned in my previous post)... not the golden algae but the normal one... the pleco just for fun only after seeing it small size and lil bit different in shape, more flat...
