with plants, it's better to drop some temperature.
Try getting a fan to blow surface, it will help drop 2-3 degrees.
Too hot, the plants will melt.
What's that bottle on the right?

Brine Shrimp AkA SeaMonkey, for feeding fish purpose, I got a lot of BrineShrimp eggs too haha long time no hatch d tongue.gif

here my nano marimo ko lian dai sad.gif and giant also a bit affected sobx~~

Mostly due to poor water circulation, this is because from your photo I can see at the bottom part there are a lot of scraps of Marimo. Btw I m doubting about the magic ball you all mentioned before this, the magic balls are meant for ground plant and not for aquatic plant smile.gif You should immediately do the treatment for the Nano, else will be too late biggrin.gif

Floating or Sinking as long as green, they are alive, refer to the FAQ in the first post for the Sink / float issue.

LOL...everyone is worrying why isn't their marimo float..... sweat.gif ......dun change water and it will sink... unsure.gif
Btw, my marimo seems to have many white hair...their old already... whistling.gif

Marimo as other plant as well which will perform metabolism and photosynthesis, the dead cells/hair will dispatch from its main body slowly and that is what you see as white hair smile.gif Time being u will see it slowly diminished day by day smile.gif

yea bigger than super giant  drool.gif  drool.gif
*
haha. The jumbo marimo and my super giant is actually almost the same size la. U should compare the size in millimeter (mm) then u will see it is the same, just name different only.

And then hor, something I need to stress out here. Actually, Giant Marimo and Nano Marimo is the name I created to name the marimos. Because people usually say, big marimo and small marimo then I feel I want to make it easier to differentiate by calling Giant and Nano.
(because some time people tot "big" very BIG, so I named giant to avoid misunderstanding)

Mana tahu now people all copycat. And then I feel quite annoyed, because my buyers told me some 'competitor' stole my FAQ. Copy bulat bulat. The FAQ I created it myself to share the knowledge about marimo to members here so that people can learn more about marimo. So you can see got some broken English inside, like marimo "tata". This is the usual way I like to say 'die'. So, if you go to that seller's fb and see the FAQ, exactly the same with my FAQ, even 'tata' and some spelling mistake also copy bulat bulat. doh.gif These people really unethical. At least filter a bit ma or give some credit to me ma, this is my hardwork, my experience on taking care marimos, spent time to compile and type tongue.gif

FYI, I asked my supplier about any new marimo sellers in Msia, other than the few which I know, I found out currently many people claimed their marimos are from Hokkaido, but my distributors say currently he do not have any add on distributor, so I wonder whether those people selling in FB really import their marimo from Japan or not. So, my advise you have to think and see properly yourself before buying. Haha

PS: Thanks for letting me know, sharon_tchui, brows.gif I need to revise my promotion price d tongue.gif, people selling so high by adding Jumbo infront thumbup.gif and my super giant sounds smaller and cheaper than jumbo tongue.gif (she/he must be earning a lot from the gap)

yalor. sky high price. I felt quite annoyed to see as they are highjacking the price. Marimos are not meant for them to make profit, we should appreciate this unique species for good. Marimos are meant for sharing and caring smile.gif

i saw something called "moss ball" at the pet store on the top floor of mid-valley, they are selling at RM30 each for a diameter 50mm, izzit real marimo o something else?
thanx
*
Moss ball can be any ball plant in the species of Moss.

Phoenix Moss, Willow Moss, Java Moss, Flame Moss, Giant Moss, Green Sock Moss, Peacock Moss etc.... Some aquascaping fella did use moss ball to make into ball shape to form moss ball. So it is hardly to tell that it is real marimo or not base on the naming wink.gif By the way, I do use Java Moss to make ballon moss ball to float too biggrin.gif

Texture and different feeling when you are holding them. Fake one tend to be softer (if created by using wrapped typical algae)

Haha, it is hard time for you, btw regarding the mentioned marimos issue, in fact it is mainly due too poor water circulation and handling of owner to cause one smile.gif
