Get from lee yung more safe. I saw an aquarium shop near my place selling marimo balls at RM 30 each. But then, when I tried to handle it, it's actually moss glued to a ping pong ball. WTH scammer.  mad.gif

Thanks for trusting me bro. Btw just wondering how to glue moss on ping pong ball, but I saw some kind of Java Moss Ball, it is actually Java ikat in ball shape, nothing special, one day it will become balless too tongue.gif

distilled water is too pure for marimo and will stun the growth of it smile.gif Unless your tank contain some mineral stones

Cheap and hard lor, if u intend to put ur tank with crystal shrimp, then I don thinks suitable as the hardness and sensitive different between ghost and crystal, later ghost can survive crystal mati tongue.gif

My marimo. smile.gif

I have a question, recently I notice that my marimo doesn't produce air bubbles anymore whenever I expose it to light, is there any problem?

Added on August 24, 2011, 4:04 amJust now went change the water, notice the water is very smelly, and my marimo is getting soft and shrinking, they are sick already, and I think they are dying, oh noes... sad.gif No wonder not producing bubbles anymore, poor marimo.

I changed the water every week, and put them in a sealed tight jar, just like in the photo, and every morning I put it outside window, again just like in the photo. I guess I'm doing something wrong here T_T..

So now I changed the water, rub them in circular motion so that all the dirty water being squeezed out and also to keep them in shape. After that I put some salt into it, seal the jar tight and put it in the fridge, may I know is there anything I missed out?

Hope they are all right.

Based on your photo, I will say "You are Killing your marimo!" if you are doing this more than 2 continuous days doh.gif , refer FAQ you will get your answer

Hope you would be able to save your marimo with the salt n fridge spa treatment. As in the FAQ, no direct sunlight for marimos as this will kill them ohmy.gif

Another peaceful view of my marimo tanks, initial plan is to take photo of marimo as the stupid Chinese Algae Eater and Botia macracanthus dig my tank's sand and make a lot of sand stick on the marimo. Just like a snowy marimos. brows.gif First picture is the best view after all because those damn fishes keep come kacau n nak ambil gambar together shakehead.gif really cant tahan. shocking.gif My main focus is actually on the marimo and not the fishes, that's why u may see the photo out of focus on fishes smile.gif Enjoy~ drool.gif
