When cleaning, gently squeeze out the dirty water and slowly roll it a little between your palm. Then it'll float when you put it back into the water.

it is not floating even i squeeze the water out from the marimo... cry.gif

Hie Folks,

Here's my tank & a closer look at my adorable Jumbos! Sometimes, if i off the lighting--the marimos look super green & healthy. but when i turn it on, can see the left jumbo is a bit yellowish green. It's pretty hard to tell if they r doing ok or not coz your eyes can deceive you sometimes depending on the lighting. Sometimes it gets me confuzzled but at the end of the day, i think i'm thinking too much. Oh well. Cheers to all marimo owners! Let's strive to keep Japan's Special National Treasure alive biggrin.gif

Herm, What is the water condition of your tank/bottle, you can refer to this post #866 regarding the causes of the pacman marimo.

i think the water condition is ok...i use RO water, cuz if i use pipe water, bubble is formed on the aquarium surface. the aquarium size can fill up until 6.4litre..but i only use about 4litre...the average temperature is about 28-30C..i use JEBO 501 mini filer..
the marimo still in round shape...but the line of pacman getting bigger in the middle of marimo..

Try to change other water rather than RO water because RO water is too pure for marimo as it do not contain any minerals that needed by the marimos
