I haven't change the standard thermal paste even using more than a year. I just clean the fan and still able to maintain gc at 46'c on idle.

You shouldn't expect good ventilation for compact unit. In addition, the unit only have one fan and have to cool down processor, chipset and graphics card

i think that's quite okay. You prefer to have DVI output?

that depends on your personal preferences and work of field. Each screen has it's own advantages and disadvantages.
i go for standard glare (glossy) or matte screen. i use external monitor most of the time.
