I don't think so. The illuminated keyboard connect to special power source on the motherboard which not available for older models.

but you can wait for Ivy bridge. I heard that Clevo/Sager will release new model with illuminated keyboard.

I don't have any problem with my unit. Stock thermal paste, maintain 75'c and 45-50fps in low settings, 1280x720 during BF3 gaming.

If new GC rebadged, I prefer to stick with old GC in new laptop set

Indeed, but I miss the old keyboard scheme. I feel comfortable to type and even gaming

I do reviews based on what I read and research. In fact, this is my first purchase of sager laptop from USA. I'm not selling any laptops so far due to no capital. XD

Your welcome. Any USA sellers and models you're eyeing? If you wait till Ivy bridge processor released, you can buy laptop with illuminated keyboard

But that depends on how urgent you want to get it. ^^ You can wait for new line of gc and processor on sager laptop so you can max the spec (if you have lots of money to spend on). So far, only Clevo P150EM and sager np9270 have illuminated keyboad.

I'm not sure, until new batch of sager models are up for sale in illegear or other sager reseller websites

They still sell the old line (whatever it's left in stock, probably with discounts) until it replaced with new one.

That seller only accept preorder at this moment until the final product released. You can wait and buy IB laptop once it's released, or max the spec on Sager NP8151 at that price range if you feel impatient and need the laptop urgently
