is it available to buy the np9270 keyboard at sager and will it fit np8170?
*
I don't think so. The illuminated keyboard connect to special power source on the motherboard which not available for older models.

When playing BF3 for a while, my fans ramp up and my gpu temp reaches 93C max. FPS drops from constant 40-50 to variable between 20-30.
NP8150. 460M.
I have opened it up and detected no dust. Any ideas?
*
hmm.gif I don't have any problem with my unit. Stock thermal paste, maintain 75'c and 45-50fps in low settings, 1280x720 during BF3 gaming.

On a side note, most popular models like P150HM and P170HM are now featured with backlit keyboard.

EM (new model) or HM (old model) version?

AFAIK, backlit keyboard is not compatible to be installed in HM model due to the design

Cheers!  rclxm9.gif

But that depends on how urgent you want to get it. ^^ You can wait for new line of gc and processor on sager laptop so you can max the spec (if you have lots of money to spend on). So far, only Clevo P150EM and sager np9270 have illuminated keyboad.

hey guy, i'm wondering whats the trend with Sager, cause I'm thinking of getting one soon. do they completely bump off the old line when the new line comes out, or would they sell it cheaper?
*
They still sell the old line (whatever it's left in stock, probably with discounts) until it replaced with new one.

thanks for the heads up. i could live with that. while my money is burning a hole in my pocket while we're waiting for the ivy bridge babies to come out (although its interesting to note, there's a guy selling MSI's IB laptops in LYN), i'm not sure if i want to really spend that much money on it (i'm assuming we're looking at the 5.5-6.6k range).
*
That seller only accept preorder at this moment until the final product released. You can wait and buy IB laptop once it's released, or max the spec on Sager NP8151 at that price range if you feel impatient and need the laptop urgently smile.gif
