U bought it from SAGER?

I just received a call from LogicalBlueOne (LBO, my reseller)

He told me the mechanics just finished running all the test, everything working fine except the RAM. They changes whole new set of RAM modules for me and will send back to me by tomorrow. Will probably get back my laptop by this friday  biggrin.gif

Hey hihihehe i was just wondering are you currently in Malaysia or Australia? because I notice you're buying the clevo p150em from an Australian Reseller. My guess is you're currently in Australia?
*
hihihehe buy from Logical Blue One Australia, and I believe he lives in AUS too.

@skeith - there's a reason why I didn't bought HDD and RAM directly from the seller. One of the reason; faulty RAM module which I have to send back to the seller for replacement. So, I bought those 2 hardwares at local shop and if got problem, can claim warranty quickly biggrin.gif

and judging by that and according to soundsyst64, if we were  to use that option we have to pay tax since it is not a complete laptop(without battery)...sigh=.='' decisions decisions.
*
there would be no tax even though the unit not comes with battery.
my unit doesn't have ram and hdd when i bought it. tak kena tax.
as long as seller declare the item as notebook, you'll be fine. smile.gif

oh0.o thats good to know..anyway i've read through your review its a really slick looking beast..seem like you bought your laptop from RJtech..just wondering what method of payment did you use to purchase your laptop from them?
*
for international buyer outside USA, they have to use telegraphic transfer (bank wire transfer) to purchase the laptop. smile.gif

how long will it take for illegear to assemble my laptop if i decided to order from them? 3-4weeks?

edit: and i still don't know how their warranty works  hmm.gif
*
for what i know, it takes up to 4 weeks to process the order and delivery. Mine takes within at that time frame smile.gif
it is advisable to ask Illegear personally for their warranty. smile.gif

QUOTE(cravingstar @ Jun 13 2012, 02:02 PM)
yeah i also wanna know, someone please enlighten us. does the graphic card in all sager changeable or just the 9xxx series?
*
not all. got user brought up the issue that NP8 series cannot upgrade GC (eg HD7970/GTX660m/670m/675m/680M)
So, i'm not sure about the future for np9 series. hmm.gif

to be precise, yes.
gtx680m > hd7970m > gtx675m where gtx680m is the most expensive

Last time before the USPS ban hit, I try to configure np9130/p151em on Malibal, the price is only ~1300usd include USPS shipping .
While the price on Illegear is 1500usd for same specs. (of course they have local support and warranty but I don't really care about that)
*
buy from rjtech.com (i bought my unit from them)
shipping to malaysia is less than USD 200 (depends on your configuration)

xoticpc now offer gtx680 customization with $495

but again, you don't mind USD 300 USPS shipping to malaysia biggrin.gif

can i say 7970m is mid-range desktop version?

what I could say...
hd7970m placed in-between desktop hd7850 and hd7870

you can get single-gpu hd7970 performance with dual-gpu HD7970M

Hey Guys !
I'm new here . I'm wondering though . I'm planning to buy a Sager NP9150 included with the gtx680 ( xoticpc ) . How much will it cost in MYR ? Cos i dont really have much time till the gtx680 will become unavailable ( end of june ) . I'm new to this kind of stuff . So please take it easy on me . Thanks a lot !
*
i7-3610qm with gtx680m about approx RM 6.5K (based on other add-ons like RAM/OS/Wireless/DVD/MicroSSD/etc)

QUOTE(ultimate.shun @ Jun 17 2012, 02:38 PM)
yeah,i think xoticpc and sager official also use UPS to deliver ,but i found a shipping service on lowyat ,i already giver him/her my package details and he/she already calculated the shipping cost which is about RM500-600.do you know any other services that is cheaper cause i am not really willing to spend so much on delivery. Thanks!!!
*
There's no cheaper alternative if you buy from xoticpc.com.
the lowest you can get without going through shipping service, approx USD 300
UPS/DHL/fedex can go more than USD 300 to ship to malaysia.

It is still depends on the transmitter/server capabilities right?? I guess.  hmm.gif
oh well, I use cable more often and I seldom brings my laptop out to travel.
*
The actual internet speed depends on your internet line.
wireless n covers wider coverage, but also have to depend which type of wireless router in use.

QUOTE(ultimate.shun @ Jun 18 2012, 09:45 AM)
ok,thanks for telling ,i didn't know about that before, but now even if i added the 10%tax + shipping fees,it is still cheaper than if i buy it locally, or do you know any other reseller from other country that is cheaper???
*
if want ultra cheap, go for rjtech.com. shipping to malaysia around USD $150.
warranty could be hassle because you need to cover the shipping back to seller. seller only covers shipping back to you.

i don't feel like US price is cheaper than this, do some calculation, shipping is $300 per one way, T/T rate is RM0.05 per dollar plus RM30 from Malaysian banker plus $25 from US banker. Today's rate is 3.15, so RM3.2 in total plus the banker fee. Besides, if something really happens on your laptop, you need to use $300 + $300 to fix it, although you don't care, but something does happen, I guess the $600 can let u purchase a new laptop lol biggrin.gif
Anyway, no matter where you buy, welcome to our sager family icon_rolleyes.gif
*
same spec as above, i can get RM 6416 + USPS shipping to malaysia
TT transfer through Public Bank = RM 30 (wire charge) + RM 2 (commission). No charges once arrive on seller's bank account.

but it's all depends on person's preferences. My LAN port is now broken because kena lightning strike, but the laptop is in good condition and wireless still works biggrin.gif

There are always charges on receiver bank account, like $10 in aus and $25 in US. I think RJtech already absorb the cost in the laptop price.
btw, isn't USPS banned lion battery?
*
i'm not sure about the banning though. hmm.gif
need to tell the seller directly as I quote the price during checkout. tongue.gif

anyone got a full bench on np9150 + 7970m?

what's the best place to get sager laptops? Illegear charges quite a lot.

was thinking basic spec of n9150+full screen upgrade+7970m. If I could remove HDD and just put a caddy would be great. how much is the shipping cost anyway?
*
illegear offers local warranty, that's why the price is a bit expensive. Of course it gives you comfort when claiming the warranty.
shipping cost varies on each seller.
