That might be true for many other clevo resellers, but Sager do us the thermal apply job directly, not illeGear.

We have recognized the inefficiency of changing thermal paste on our own, some more its like changing the component without having acknowledgement of both customer and Sager.

The ic diamond price is expensive, because Sager is doing lot of stress test on all the machines, the price is going to technician labor cost . On resellers side, it is actually very hard to do stress test as we have to rush for ETA. That's the main difference.

Although we can do it our own to cut down a lot of cost, we will gain authorization by Sager on the first place.

If you did not include OS in your order, means you have to buy the OS itself or install Ubuntu

no worry, just go over to sager site, support and download all the latest drivers. Except bios, i think u have to ask from u reseller or email to sager. That's what I read from notebook forum.

Sager remove the 6970m option already. Look likes they are really clearing the stock of 6970m as PrinceJ mentioned. And waiting to launch amd 6990m.

Or they have learn the famous tactic of Air Asia, put up few cheap seats after midnight. And they are gone by tomorrow, lol....

If u really into sager, better get the np8130, np8150 or 8170, they are better build, i think they are from clevos, and those np5160 and np5175 are compal if i am not wrong, better check with PrinceJ.

Previously I am also aiming for 5175, but not much difference in price compare to np 8170. Now looking at 8170.

If the card is nothing wrong, then there is only 1 conclusion, US customer like everything perfect, u can read from dell thread, some people can exchange their laptop 5 times in order to get a perfect screen, plus US free or cheap shipping.

We malaysian are easy going type and dun want trouble. Further more shipping back to USA is too expensive. Haha...

Yes, np8170 is really heavy, thus I have to use a roller bag. Thinking of carrying it in LCCT, make me faint.

I would really like it if i could get at least an 8130...but is way way way over my budget. Mine was only 3200 because thats what my dad gave me. Sooo....unfortunately...8130 is rm4499... Thanks for the advice though and what do u mean by compal ?

With your budget, you should look at current HP notebooks.
Current HP notebooks are offering very good specs with above average GPU @ reasonable price.
