hmmm still troubled over sg and pps. i might consider pps. 880? no additional tax? whats the rated protection duration? do i need ike a 1 week or 2 weeks before appoinment booking?

You know, instead of spending that much money on "protection", you could buy a good car wash shampoo, a Porter Cable with Meguiar Pad, good polishing compound (Meguiar #9 FE), nice sealant(Mequiar Polymer Sealant) and a good wax (Autoglym HD). Then search online for tutorial and how to's. Allocate one whole day for this and just DIY. Trust me, it will be more rewarding. It's your own car, you love your car and don't let anyone touch it. Would you your let your wife to be "detailed" by some one else? Hell no. Just my 2 cents though.

Agree on your points. I'm also the kind of person that would love to wash and wax the car myself if given the chance as I do enjoy cleaning my car. However, due to my circumstances which I'm sure some of you face as well, I just dont have the time due to the nature of my work plus the fact I dont have the luxury of a proper place to clean my car since I live in a condo. Hence, sometimes we have no choice but to let the pros take care of it. But yes I'm still deciding if I should wax my car more regularly or do the PPS with less waxing in a year. Is there a website on PPS?

I'm giving 15% off for pps coating in a group of 5 cars, so far on the forum, there are 3 people planning to do..So, do let me know when you're in to it..The whole process takes around 5 hours to complete & booking should be 2-3 days before come over and 2 weeks before for saturday appoinment..

i think sometimes we need pros to do it for us too... coz they do that day in day out... but yes i do try as often as i can to wash my car myself and also bring it to meguire's car wash every 2weeks...

I have decided to skip the white MK5 SE from johor because owner not telling truth of car history, and car is accident free as long as not really involved in BIG accident, small one still consider accident free.....

Now i found this white, 2010 model, GTi, 20k kms++, for 183K nego from mudah. Although a new 2010 stock cost 195K, but 183k neg is a good offer because I am on tight budget.....got tight budget still wanna drive GTi....sigh....what a poison....drive once and never forget.....

Any suggestions how much I should offer the owner? He said 183K neg means can I offer 175K? I think usually when owner asking 183k he is ready to let go for 180k.

I got ur point.. I already did meguiar's sealant at Imola Autospa jalan ampang.. They are very professional and using only meguiars product.. They not mix with other brands.. But the sealant is only can last for 3-4months the max.. Then no promises at all for the "shine look" for the next 5 years.. If u want to really maintain u have to do it twice a year and 1 time polishing a year.. How much it will be?? Quite expensive.. It is good if u want to do it ur self.. But do u really know how is the proper way to do it?? Becareful with the machine or hand if u want to do it urself because the swirl will get worst if u do it in a wrong way.. Especially on black car.. So the paint protection will ensure us the shine look for the next 5years.. Plus if we use pps we still can send to polish the car back.. Just my 2cents..
