QUOTE(stalkerrox @ May 17 2011, 03:53 PM) my 1st tank ron 97 420km @ 53L 2nd tank ron 97 540km @ 53L 3rd tank ron 97 @ 550km @ 53L 4th tank ron 97 @ 530km @ 53L 5th tank should be around there but i pump an extra rm 20 cause i went genting and my MFD shows 190km left 4th 5th tank was when going genting... in 6 days i went genting 3 times haha... Wow that's excellent FC for your GTI! As for mine, 1st tank: 380km 2nd tank: 400km 3rd tank: 420km Now on 4th tank and it says i can go around 480km. All the above with Petronas 95. Does pumping 97 makes so much difference to the FC?

QUOTE(Kyoshiro @ May 18 2011, 10:50 PM) Bro, tried Esso? I get 480km for a full tank of 52L of Ron95. 70% City, pretty jam at times, 30% Highway, even tried 210km/h. Consider myself a "between light and heavy footed" kinda person. I do feel acceptable with that kinda FC for such a powerful car. It'll probably hit 550km with 50% highway cruising and 50% of smooth city drive. BTW, mine's a GTI. Wanted to try Caltex but it is no where to be found near my area. Mine Petronas Primax 95. On 4th tank now and looks like I will end up about 480-500km. 70% city driving. FC is definitely improving the more I drive. I will be happy getting 500-550km on a full tank eventually.

QUOTE(stalkerrox @ May 19 2011, 11:32 PM) nice nice im also new GTI owner here... my car just 3 weeks and already clocked 3k millage hahaha Mine close to 3 weeks and clocked about 1.5k mileage so far. No regrets at all. Welcome to the club Added on May 19, 2011, 11:37 pmQUOTE(jwrx @ May 19 2011, 11:17 PM) I know i wrote one sometime back..but i cant seem to find it. But my thoughts on APR S1 below - Best value mod for any VW (Im biased towards APR, but ReVO and MTM would be more or less the same) - simple effective mod that puts a smile on your face and actually improves FC and smooths out your gerarchanges - Karl/john/adrian@ APR malaysia know what they are doing and have VW running in thier veins. - Most recent Sepang Time attack, APR cars took top 4 spots in conti category..beating 3 Renault RS250's below is my dyno results for APR S2 http://mod-shop.blogspot.com/2009/07/apr-revo-dynos.htmlWhat will be the horsepower for a APR S1 for GTI Mk6? I'm very tempted honestly.. This post has been edited by Royrogers: May 19 2011, 11:37 PM

QUOTE(cdwk2383 @ May 21 2011, 04:41 PM) i rather pay extra for those additional stuff Well depends on what the additional stuff are and what is the price increase. As for me, sunroof and auto start button, I can live without them. 18' rims and HU sure does makes the car nicer, but we can always upgrade them at a cost. I've decided on the RNS and will be getting it installed next week!

QUOTE(stalkerrox @ May 22 2011, 10:26 PM) not worth it at all for that price.. performance of a TSI but GTI price... somemore fifth gear test it on a track it has same laptime with scirocco 1.4.. really peugoet gonna have hard sales for that price.. Yah definitely agree with all my fellow GTIans here haha but my female fren who was with me at BSC commented "you should have bought this sexy looking car instead" and she knows nothing about cars, damn

Hey guys I believe earlier part of the thread, somebody mentioned about changing their wipers to a better quality brand. What is the brand of that wiper if someone can recall? The existing wiper's quality on the Golf is bad and I really want to change it. Thanks..

QUOTE(mavric @ May 23 2011, 06:45 PM) at times it's ok, but at times it skips like a biatch Yea lately the quality seems to be getting worse with the screeching sound and it leave a line in the middle of the windscreen. Do you remember the brand of that wiper that was discussed in earlier threads?

QUOTE(phj63 @ May 24 2011, 12:20 AM) ooo nice colour looking forward to the pics btw have you sierra glowed the car? How is the sierra glow so far? I tried 3rd concept paint protector in my last car but now a bit reluctant to try any of these paint protectors in my GTI as I feel the quarterly wax treatment would somehow be a better approach. Though the paint protectors do claim they can protect your cars against bird shit and stuff.

QUOTE(Yan @ May 24 2011, 01:46 PM) not too sure abt Golf but scirocco is ard RM700... let me know if u wnana do it ... can help nego the price .. know them quite well esp the son .. hehe Bro, I'm interested in PPS too, do let me know if can nego for 2 cars here. Sorry but what is the difference between PPS and SG and the other paint protectors? For 3rd concept, you cannot polish or wax the car for 5 years which is frustrating.

QUOTE(Yan @ May 24 2011, 03:56 PM) actually initially all the same... coz i did SG and PPS.. both cars on day 1 looks fantastic... like js came out fr showroom. I believe any waxing or detailing will giv u that effect. However problem is our weather and the acidic rain content is detrimental to our car. Thus the important part is how we maintain it. According to SG, must always wash our car and not just simply wash but wash it with proper technique and drying it off else the formation of watermarks. Knowing myself, i can't consistently wash it after each downpour. So i rather hav the option of going back for another touch-up session every 7-8mths so that i can get my car back to as new condition.... that's my 2cents lah .... Yeah agree, I think this time I would rather spend my money on quality car wash and constant touch ups than having a paint protector.

QUOTE(Kilang Kimpalan @ May 25 2011, 09:43 AM) You know, instead of spending that much money on "protection", you could buy a good car wash shampoo, a Porter Cable with Meguiar Pad, good polishing compound (Meguiar #9 FE), nice sealant(Mequiar Polymer Sealant) and a good wax (Autoglym HD). Then search online for tutorial and how to's. Allocate one whole day for this and just DIY. Trust me, it will be more rewarding. It's your own car, you love your car and don't let anyone touch it. Would you your let your wife to be "detailed" by some one else? Hell no. Just my 2 cents though. Agree on your points. I'm also the kind of person that would love to wash and wax the car myself if given the chance as I do enjoy cleaning my car. However, due to my circumstances which I'm sure some of you face as well, I just dont have the time due to the nature of my work plus the fact I dont have the luxury of a proper place to clean my car since I live in a condo. Hence, sometimes we have no choice but to let the pros take care of it. But yes I'm still deciding if I should wax my car more regularly or do the PPS with less waxing in a year. Is there a website on PPS? Added on May 25, 2011, 10:14 amQUOTE(rosizzat1000 @ May 25 2011, 01:36 AM) Added on May 25, 2011, 1:36 amSo who are in for the pps?? The sooner the better.. QUOTE(junhowe @ May 25 2011, 11:24 AM) Thanks bro. Is 15% the best discount for us as I saw your previous customers did their Honda Citys for RM680. Since the Golf is not any bigger than the honda, could you give us a better price? Any charges for credit card payment?
