thinking to upgrade to forte. i love the current design with the skirt addons.

but let me ask you guys. is there any updated design/engine etc on 2012/2013 forte?

and how is the 2nd value of this car - im asking this since this car has been sold quite some time - since 2008/2009 right?

Around 2.5k..still without the reverse camera with that price i believe. Need to add on the camera separately (means extra cost) if u need it.

sry, we can't predict future .... and miss, year 2008 NAZA hvn't launch forte yet...

Current Forte already facelifted at the end of last year. If KIA follow the 5-year rule to come up with the all new Forte..it should be on 2013 i believe.

Forte was introduced in Malaysia less than 2 year ago. I guess it is too short in term of time to judge its resale value. But, the rule of thumb is, high demand car should fetch better resale value. i think u can clearly see that the Forte demands is much better than previous car it replaced..so do your own judgement

& if u worry so much about the resale value..by all means please go for T&H

hi all sifus, i'm confusing on the Kia seller, is there any different between the dealer outside selling forte and those in the Kia center?
i found out that the dealer outside giving better free gifts than those in Kia center.
will it be the percentage of getting defected Forte will be higher if i get from the dealer outside compare to those in Kia center??

one more question is, is the Forte clear white color easier to get yellowise like Myvi???

Hi guys, i had my 1.6SX for about 1.5years already and finally the battery in my remote SmartKey died. And it happened when i was out of town somewhere near Sungkai Hot Springs.... pressing the buttons didnt unlock my car, neither did pressing the button on the handle. so i opened the door with the key. when i got in the car and pressed the start button, it says key not detected. i got worried for while as i did not bring my spare key and the nearest shop that sells a battery is miles away. so i called my SA. He said to just just insert the smart key into the slot and hold the start button for 30 seconds. i did that , and it turns out that once you insert the smartkey into the slot, you can just start the car like normal ( no need to hold the start button for long.)

and my SA also said inserting the key into the slot "charges" the smartkey .... i know i read somewhere in here that there's no rechargeable battery in our remote right ? so i left the key in the slot while driving back, it was a 2 hour journey back. when i reached home, i could use my smartkey again ! everything works.... i'm going to continue using my smartkey for a few days without changing the battery or inserting it back into the slot .... just to see if it really did charge the remote ........

anyway, when i got back. i took my remote apart.
And i also started my car without a battery in my smartkey. all you have to do is just insert the key into the slot and you can start as many times as you want.







There's no way that is a rechargeable battery right ? it's just a normal watch battery CR2032... maybe there's a capacitor in there that would store a small amount of charge to last for a while.

So if your remote ever runs out battery, dont panic (like me).... just use your key to open your car door, insert the whole smartkey into your slot and start your car like normal.....

I made a booking on 1st August 2011, for 1.6EX Forte and I trade off my car to this dealer in order get new Forte. The salesman agreed that once the new Forte arrived then only I trade off my old car to him (one to one exchange).

After two days, salesman called me that he able to give me new Forte in
a week time and he wants my old car since he want to sell to a customer and he promise that my new Forte will be arrived in a week time. Base on trust, so I trade off my old car to salesman.

On 15 August, he said that he not able to get my new Forte. I was so angry and want him to fulfill his promises. Finally he informed me that another dealer has stock BUT this dealer wants payment RM500 to get the car and he wants me to pay for RM250. This is ridiculous! Of course I said NO. Finally he agreed to solve this without extra cost.

On 19 August, I got to know that both dealer doesn’t has the car and they want me keep on waiting until September.

As a customer I am so unsatisfied! The dealer made lots of
empty promises to customer. At first, they said I can get my new Forte in 2 weeks so I can sold off my car to them and now they area saying that they can’t give me the car until September!

Dont ever trust your salesman.

Just got my 1.6SX Diamond Silver today noon.. I'm enjoying every bit of it.. The features it has is just awesome.. My 2 bro in law r so jealous cos their vios n city dun hav these awesome features..

same thing happen when i booked Saga SE b4 i booked Forte...juz i din trade in the car, and no other dealer got that model....promise 2 mths, after dat say factory gt problem delay 2 mths more...cancel booking n get Forte in 2 weeks.
