It wasn't really a dive.The aussie dude went down early with the tackle,the Italian dude,heading for goal was smart enough just to go over him.Can't really say much in those kinda situations.

The referee is a little harsh there. The match's over. we can't change the result.

erm, for me it was a dive by Grosso.. more or less. i always fancied the Italians to go through but not with the way like that. just cruel for the Aussies. but the ref has made his decision and it's final. congrats to Lippi and his men.

to be fair to Italy, the back four did play exceptionally well especially Cannavaro, as they were also being backed/covered by the solid midfielders. Buffon was also brilliant in the goal.

Full credit to the Aussies.. They do really give the Italians a run of their money..ironic isn't when it was Lucas Neill said that before the game..'We will give the Italians a run of their money' and he gave the Italians the dubious penalty..

It was a minimal contact..but not only the Italians will do it in that situation..i think most players will try to 'dive' when they are inside the box...

Most of the time I have great difficulty understanding why people dislike Shebby. Because as far as I'm concern he is much better than some of the annoyingly biased british commentator.

I'm not surprised Italy manage to salvage a win though, seen them before and know how they play their game. Anyway Del Piero? Haven't seen him much.

One thing I learned from this game was, every single match is not as easy as it may seem on paper. Forza Italia, now let's see whether lady luck will be shining on them next time around.

i saw replay,and clearly it was a dive....

to me, that was not a dive, ..

the 1st ball from Grosso, its obvious that he tried hard to get pass the defender, ..n the 2nd one in the penalty box, yes there was a contact, the aussie intended to block Grosso with his body, but then the ref already notice it n gave a penalty..

neway, .. the italians play smart .. the aussie play coward n waiting for extra time, ..italy not winning it, its just Aussie that lost .. lol .. or in malay word, "dah bagi menang takmo menang".

in the tournament like this, effort n hardwork is not enough, .. use brain n a bit luck ..ow yea!
