aiya dat one if not offside keller would have saved it also...the missed opportunity i rued was del piero's after pirlo's lob. iaquinta had a chance to fall & get penalty when one of the def was tugging his shirt inside the area but full credits to him for staying up.

Italy qualify if...

Italy just need a point against the Czech Republic to reach the last 16 of the World Cup, but there are other options. Here are all of the scenarios...

If Italy win:
An Italian victory against Pavel Nedved and Co will give the Azzurri top spot in Group E and lead to a second round match with the runners-up in Brazil's Group F.

If Italy draw:
A point with the Czechs will also be enough for qualification as Italy would move on to five points, leaving their opponents on just four. However, such a result could see Italy surrender top spot in the group to Ghana if they beat America in their last game. If that tie ends all square, Italy would remain first leaving the Czech Republic and the African nation to decide qualification on goal difference. A USA win would still see Italy top the group.

If Italy lose:
All would not necessarily be lost if the Azzurri taste defeat on Thursday. They could still finish second if the other game ends in a draw or if a victorious America don't go on the goal rampage against the Black Stars.

Well, i support quite a number of team, like in the EPL, i support Man Utd, in Serie A i support Juve and in LA Liga i support Barcelona. Out of these 3 teams, I followed Man Utd the longest. No offence, these 3 clubs are good clubs.

Thursday is Calciopoli charges day

The clubs and individuals under investigation for sporting fraud will be informed of any possible charges they will face on Thursday evening, it has been confirmed.

Reports in Italy had suggested that the Italian Football Federation's prosecutor, Stefano Palazzi, would reveal his charge sheet at some stage on Wednesday.

However, the FIGC have stated that Palazzi will unveil the list of clubs and individuals who will face a sporting tribunal on Thursday evening at the earliest.

"They [the names and charges] will be issued tomorrow after the stock market closes," stated FIGC commissioner Guido Rossi.

He added that the decision to delay the announcement was at the request of Consob chief Lamberto Cardia who is in charge of the stock market regulator.

The stock market will close at 17.30 hours local time, just minutes before Italy's final Group E World Cup clash ends against the Czech Republic.

Fratelli d'Italia,
l'Italia s'è desta,
dell'elmo di Scipio
s'è cinta la testa.
Dov'è la Vittoria?
Le porga la chioma,
che schiava di Roma
Iddio la creò.

CORO:
Stringiamoci a coorte,
siam pronti alla morte.
Siam pronti alla morte,
l'Italia chiamò.
Stringiamoci a coorte,
siam pronti alla morte.
Siam pronti alla morte,
l'Italia chiamò!

Noi fummo da secoli
calpesti, derisi,
perché non siam popolo,
perché siam divisi.
Raccolgaci un'unica
bandiera, una speme:
di fonderci insieme
già l'ora suonò.

CORO
Uniamoci, amiamoci,
l'unione e l'amore
rivelano ai popoli
le vie del Signore.
Giuriamo far libero
il suolo natio:
uniti, per Dio,
chi vincer ci può?

CORO
Dall'Alpi a Sicilia
Dovunque è Legnano,
Ogn'uom di Ferruccio
Ha il core, ha la mano,
I bimbi d'Italia
Si chiaman Balilla,
Il suon d'ogni squilla
I Vespri suonò.

CORO
Son giunchi che piegano
Le spade vendute:
Già l'Aquila d'Austria
Le penne ha perdute.
Il sangue d'Italia,
Il sangue Polacco,
Bevé, col cosacco,
Ma il cor le bruciò.

CORO

English translation

Brothers of Italy,
Italy has awakened,
with Scipio's helmet
She has bound her head.
Where is Victory?
Let her bow down,
For God has made her
Rome's slave.

CHORUS:

Let us join in cohort,
We are ready to die!
We are ready to die!
Italy has hailed!
Let us join in cohort,
We are ready to die!
We are ready to die!
Italy has hailed!

We have been for centuries
Downtrodden and derided,
For we are not one people,
For we are divided.
Let one flag, one hope
Gather us all
For us to get unified
The hour has already struck.

CHORUS

Let us unite and love one another;
Union and love
Disclose to peoples
The ways of the Lord
Let us swear to free
Our native soil;
United under God,
Who can defeat us?

CHORUS

From Alps to Sicily,
In everywhere is Legnano;
Every man of Ferruccio
Has the heart, has the hand .
The children of Italy
Are called Balilla;
Every bell blast
Sounds the (Sicilian) Vespers.

CHORUS

Reeds bend
Mercenary swords
The Austrian eagle
Has already lost his plumes.
The blood of Italy
And that of the Poles
She drank with the Cossack,
But it burned her heart.
CHORUS
