Dear all, I'm looking for a new set of tyres for my RD4 Honda CR-V (Year 2003, 2nd Generation). Stock tyre is Bridgestone Dueler H/T 205/70 R15. It is quite a noisy tyre and thinking of changing to other model, but tyre choice for this size is kinda limited. Only can found Michelin XM1 (for normal comfort type, not H/T type).

Any recommendation?

dueler of h/t variant usually projected a noisier characteristic compare to h/l ecopia or alenza.
you may check from bridgestone dealer.
also, simple tips for quieter tires ; just avoid those rough or deep / directional tread.

i would like to ask, is there any UHP tire below the price range of 320 for 16" or 17" ? planning to change my tire and change my waja stock rim aswell, but not sure should change to 16" with a not so good tire or light weight 15" + PS3 all 4 donuts.

but 15" on waja doesn't look nice at all.

please share some light.

Is there any recommendation for something like the AD07/AD08 but not so pricey?

Currently on PS3... Tried many others like AD07, AD048, R888, RE070... But all just pricey, except for R888 still acceptable pricing range.

Re001 at 16 inch? Good luck finding at price 320 shocking.gif . Try Yoko A drive R1. Performance should be enough if money is tight. Or just revert back to 15 inch to get lower price for UHP tyres. Find lowered sport springs to reduce the gap.

your suspension is still stock? either way, you could go for 205/50/r16 or 205/45/r16.
16" with profile 55 is too thick there will be a noticeable compromise in speedo reading and overall performance.
i already try lightweight 15". does not help much in handling. car does not feel 'planted'.
unless you're going for slight offset of 205/50 or 55/r15.
last time with lower suspension, i was running on 205/50/r15. make sure to get at least 7jj and not 6.5jj of 15" wheels.
try refurbished 16" wheels with s1evo or v12. budget tires like ecsta ku-36 is quite okay too.

can't compare semi slick tires with super street tires.
re001 or s1evo is decent enough. or f1 asymmetric. at least they're better in wet than semi slick r888.
have you try semi slick r1r?

a drive.r1 is a beginner's tires. but should be okay for not so spirited driving style.
suspension thing is not as easy as changing to sport spring for better look. both spring and suspension need to change at once. else, stock suspension will gone in a few months or so. saved the alignment cost.

Bro yngwie, RE001 and S1Evo is comparable and do well in dry also right? Consider hard sidewall? Coz the PS3 although it is good enough I must say well balanced performance, but the sidewall really soft, I tried to pump higher PSI to until like 34 to compensate a bit.

My PS3 on the waja 195/55/R15 (for almost a year driving, didn't keep track of the mileage) can see the sides burning out >.<, while the mid tyre is still in tact >.<

yes, feel the softness while cornering a ltitle, but now it's time to change my mum's tyre~ currenly using Yokohama C-Drive 185/65/R14, Where's XM2? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

and.. I heard that XM2 price is insane... any ideas why isit so exp? better then XM1?
