Hi guys i am trying to choose between these two 14" laptops. And also for these two 15" laptops

TimelineX 4830TG, i5-2410M + GT540M
vs
A43Sv, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT540M@RM2899

Aspire 5750G, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT540M(2GB) @RM2899
vs
N53Sv, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M(1GB)@RM2599

May i know how different an i7 processor is to an i5? Is there a big leap in performance?? When i looked at notebookcheck i5 and i7 pcs perform the same for games/performance under the same graphic card. And between Asus and Acer which is a seemingly more reliable brand?? Many people around me that i have asked seem to be hinting problems with acer and are pushing me to go for Asus.
Currently my eye is on the Acer timeline 4830TG..
And also budget under RM3k
Any other laptop suggestions that might beat the ones on top?

that a43sv sure win in therms of proc... i7 quad core. and for 15" oso the same, quad core winner.. cant compare the quad core and dual core.... and quad core oso produce more heat even underload.... the Nvidia gt 1gb and 2gb actually give you advantage when you want to plug to external monitor...
i5 is more than enuf for gaming... i7 if you do phtoshop, and many kind of graphic design, so its better take i7 (dual core enuf la sweat.gif ).. if read the previous page, mostly take i7 for graphic design purpose, gaming go i5... asus gt 2 year warranty.... that n53sv is good in speaker build ([Bang & Olufsen).. power in multimedia.. thumbup.gif i7 quad core... extreme gaming.. tongue.gif A43Sv, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT540M@RM2899 might be suite for you..
but if normal usage, acer timeline also good.. remaining can use for warranty extend

N55SF, not my cup of tea. Looks like Asus is going for pseudo-unibody construction now.

If they changed the keyboard and made a 14" version, that would pique my interest.
