QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jul 11 2011, 11:02 PM) You're just not familiar with the website only haha, no worries bro, you'll get the hang of it soon Haha then how to justify to myself which one to buy..i think i should stop looking at other brands or i wont be able to decide which laptop to get.. When you 1st log in Dell's website, you get to choose home laptops or business laptops. Choosing Home will lead you to, as the name suggests, normal consumer laptops. If you choose business, then you'll be directed to Vostro, Lattitude and Precision lineups Performance-wise, depends on your configuration. If the specs (CPU + GPU) is the same, then of course the performance would be similar Vostro units, for the same CPU and GPU, will be more expensive.... |

Don't be too focused on the CPU and GPU and you'll be alright The most important thing is to go for the laptop that you like most, not necessarily the one that is most bang-for-buck Hence, you might want to check out the real models and test them 1st before making the final decision This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Jul 12 2011, 04:14 PM |

Anyway you can burn your own copy of the W7HP disc yourself by using Dell's backup and recovery manager But do take note that you can only burn it once... |

Not sure whether this promotion is really valid or not, still, you might wanna check it out: http://www.nt-pcstore.com/it/product.php?id_product=578 [credits to budakdegilz for sharing] can you state the recent market price for that? I forgot to mention that I'm not looking for any acer/Hp brand but Hp is still acceptable. If it really comes with 3 years warranty, it'll be worth it If not, Dell M102z would be better because of the slightly better specs |

Turns out its the same dimension as the inspiron..weight also same..The most important thing is to go for the laptop that you like most, not necessarily the one that is most bang-for-buck Hence, you might want to check out the real models and test them 1st before making the final decision So my solution?call dell and ask them to explain to me what the vostro has that the inspiro doesnt..is a matt screen worth the extra ill be paying.. Btw there is a dell store in mid valley?i can check out the physical units there? |

There's a fingerprint reader as well if you fancy that Vostro units are quite rare... as in most retails stores don't display them, not really sure why haha... |
