haha... brand as u like... all almost same same except when it comes to after sales warranty. lolx

build quality,..... physically go touch the lappy.... see whether it is well built and solid or not lor... some notebooks have flexi keyboards or loose hinge, or soft underside that makes u feel like it's going to break any moment. haha those things...

most of them wun provide... u have to burn a recovery cd ur self.

Hey TJ.

Can I ask for your opinion regarding the Acer 5750? Is it worth getting it or something better.

My budget is about 3k to 3.5k

But doesn't AMD have overheating issues? I had one b4 in my compaq and some issues with it.

Any ideas whether those asus eee series and toshiba harman kardon any good? In terms of heat dissipation and standby time. Yes, I know both of them are just netbooks.

Hmm okay.

I will definitely look into HP now. Any stores any of you can recommend in Digital Mall? Looking at the price... It seems I'm paying 3.2k minus the beats headphones according to the post here: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1809427

Aspire 5750G, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M(2GB) @RM2399
Vostro 3550, i5-2410M + AMD HD6630@RM2577, backlit keyboard
A53Sv, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M (1GB)@RM2349
N53Sv, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M(1GB)@RM2699 [Bang & Olufsen]
Satellite L755-1009X,i5-2410M + Nvidia GT525M@RM2449, 2 years warranty (1st year global)

do take note that a53sv doesn't come with optimus so the battery life will be relatively shorter. you can always extend the warranty at the expense of few hundred ringgit.

I'm considering between this 2, but just now I went to survey price, and a boss told me recently Toshiba had "A"/"water" stock issue.. this make me worried.. rclxub.gif
And I was told tat from another shop, able to get Satellite L755-1009X at RM2350.. is tat possible? or tat will be "A"/"water" stock? rclxub.gif

what is "A"/"water" stock issue? sweat.gif

the price stated is recommended retail price anyway.

if u can stretch your budget a bit, n53sv will be a better option, comes with 2 years international warranty and also b&o speaker too

need laptop suggestion..somewhere around 2k, use for work and travel around to show customers slideshow and web pages from internet cuz doing internet marketing...

so battery life must be powerful and very good internet connection receiver...

or should i actually consider ipad2? not big fan of apple tho..

Or is it more wortwhile to get an extra battery for my desired lappy then I won't have battery issue?
