damn. played singles, half court. couldnt use the full court, and smashes were easier to retrieve. rallies longer than with full court, damn tiring. laugh.gif

if full court sometimes leave the shots we cannot reach. tongue.gif

wires seem like a good idea. copper is much more dense than titanium or aluminium.

i just use a mountain bike handle bar and stem. 450 grams right there laugh.gif

just had a session. started out with slayer 99, was too aggressive, had timing issues, kept on smashing out. laugh.gif head speed was fast due to aero frame, just plain sucked. changed to sw36, played slightly better. defense wasnt bad, only bad shot choices and too much hitting the shuttle out sad.gif

wont the last 3 sets though. if not cannot sleep, too tension. hahaha

dunno. if got training racket 200 grams, i'm sure can get used to it. thinking of getting one. 120grams, 140grams, 160grams, 180grams, or 200. the 160 grams i saw from apacs super stiff, if train with that I'm pretty sure voltric 80 wouldnt be a problem. laugh.gif

but damn itchy to get another nice racket. got 4 then enough la. laugh.gif

i've only broken my string 4 times this year. bg66@24lbs after a month, bg80@26lbs after 3 months, nbg98@26lbs after a month, bg66 again after 2 months. only once was the string visibly frayed. the rest i think due to mishit. not power, only mishit alot. hahahaha laugh.gif sad.gif

sw35 is listed on victor website as extra stiff and even balanced. all sw rackets are even balance btw. bs09 is medium stiff and slightly head light.

spira21, mx70 and mx80 is slightly head heavy. if light that also smash damn strong, wonder the power a head heavy racket from victor can generate. hmm.gif

damn. still not used to the sw36. can't fully exploit the potential. sad.gif

even balanced, but somehow abit harder to defend compared to using the ti550. doesnt feel as stiff although both are rated as 4/5. hmm.gif

cab21 is quite stiff right? for victor sw36 is stiff, sw35 extra stiff, bs10 extra stiff, bs11 and bs12 i lazy to check laugh.gif
but sw36 is slightly head heavy even though its rated at even balanced. sw35 is supposed to be the same although I havent tried that yet. at rm500 spira21 and mx80 also can get i think.

got alot of choices at rm400-500, maybe can go for gosen ryoga if good at negotiations, apacs slayer 99, forza ti550/ti555, li ning bp series.

Just wondering if u played at challenger PJ when u snapped the string? I saw a guy burn away the snapped strings there wednesday night
*
nope, not me. although i did need to burn the strings, since 96 hole frame requires a damn long time to get the strings out. laugh.gif

today played 3 hours exclusively with slayer 99. tomorrow play with sw36 i guess. still considering a replacement sad.gif

QUOTE(chuakz @ Dec 18 2011, 07:09 PM)
would you recommend the forza rackets u are using for doubles? Cause I'm so bored with people using yonex/li ning/victor....been looking for a good doubles racket...was looking at carlton vapour trail tour...very good racket but no stock...i wanna look for fz forza but dunno where in malaysia to buy....specifically malacca...and their range here too limited
*
I would recommend the ti 550, havent tried the other models though. the ti 555 is the newer version, with CNT technology, hopefully less frame breakage issues when stringing. but yeah, not many badminton shops carry fz forza. and i used the ti 550 for doubles, no problems. now world of sports carry fz forza equipment, rackets shoes bags.

but i wouldnt buy a racket just because of the brand. it all depends on personal preference for balance and shaft stiffness. my current favourite racket is an apacs. i just can't seem to play well with my SW36 for doubles, especially for defense and front court play. for singles no problems though. hmm.gif

according to RSL website X5 gold has less power, while white has the most. my guess is gold is head light and stiff, silver even balance medium stiff, white is head heavy flexible. not sure though.

mulling for a replacement for my racket. cheap2. either gosen 7900 or tp100c, both used, both RM200 or below. spend alot frame break again wanna cry again sad.gif

maybe selling off sw36 to get sw35 too......... hmm.gif

got a replacement for my fz forza, which the shop sent over to fz regional HQ in singapore. hope they can claim warranty. got 2 replacements actually, wish nano force 1022. 4U, stiff, head shape like arc-z, hybrid between oval and iso. 1st time using 4U racket, damn easy to defend laugh.gif but it came with crappy apacs strings, keeps on moving around on the string bed. and also got a gosen aermet 7900. stiff, medium balance. just got a few hours ago drool.gif wanna test it tomorrow.

btw kd sports just received alot of stock for sw37, mx80, mx70, bs12. got price increase also sad.gif
