problem is not too many shops carry the apacs shuttlecock.

used to buy RSL tourney classic last year and modern sports PJ, but long time didnt go there. RM52 there, cheaper than other places. including KD sports. but no time to go there, some more the shop closes at 7pm.

interesting concept, but the frame would be far from aerodynamic. besides, its more fun to buy multiple rackets and try out the different specs and feel of them.


have yet to try my vertex. might need to restring, old owner didnt use for a long time, string lost tension already.

1st session with the blx vertex. nice racket, didnt take long to adjust. only 1 layer yonex 102ex, managed to get balance point 297mm. defense didnt suffer, managed to return alot of smashes. power wise quite good, even though i was using dead strings (previous owner didnt touch the racket for a long time).

dunno if wanna use strings until snap, or just cut it straight.

btw, added a few more options in the equation.

asics gel blade 3 -rm280

mizuno wave fang xt -rm320
mizuno wave lightning -forgot, but rm350 or below. but damn light!

babolat shadow -rm250

which would you get? blast 4 and wave lightning has thicker soles, so its abit taller. the others are quite low cut.

in terms of looks (my opinion )
cyber speed>babolat shadow=wave lightning>blast 4>blade 3=fang xt.

shadow has the least cushioning, the rest not so sure, as long as got wave or gel i'm quite satisfied. using wave blocker also knee problems gone already.

which would you guys get, and why? hehe

thinking of trying out the zymax strings, but dunno where to get the newer ones. all i see at shops are the old ones. newer ones supposed to be more durable.

sticking to bg66ultimax for now. just had the blx vertex strung with that. and saw a fella break his 3rd get ti10 stringing at 30lbs at the shop just now.

vt9 looks interesting. but the last few rackets i bought were even balance to head light, scared need long time to adjust. defense already failed as it is.

most shops say arriving sometime in march, earliest is this week. together with other yonex new stuff, vt z force, vt9, vt3. not sure though, i not yonex salesman.

mizuno wave twister, wave angle, wave stardom under rm250 can get. wave blocker 7 only at world of sport can get for rm150, 50% off. but what's left is size US10. currently using wave blocker 7, knee injury disappeared, but the shoe is abit hot. i weigh 65 kg and dont jump alot, so many its cushioning is sufficient.

can also can babolat shadow around rm250 or lower, but that doesnt have as much padding also, low heel, got for footwork i guess. and its light.

i might be migrating to asics or yonex. or babolat. or li ning
