Your friend's Acer Aspire 5750G is what colour? Blue or Black? First batch or second batch?
First batch is black in colour. It has a lot of problems, faulty laptops. With GT540M 1GB, no bluetooth, EOL-ed. (can change motherboard, full refund, change to second batch....by middle of April)
Second batch is blue in colour. No problem so far. Except just now, when I was replying to this post, my laptop got freezed and I had to press the start up button to restart....so fcking dangerous! Just found out that the Adobe reader updates are making the freeze, disabled it!
so, back to topic. If your friend's laptop is blue in colour, second batch....then try these methods. I played Modern Warfare 2 with my laptop at maximum settings with 60FPS. No freeze or lags at all.
Fix that might help to solve your friend's problem:
1. Update your Intel HD graphics
http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect/2. Download latest driver for Nvidia GT540M
http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-win7...hql-driver.html3. Update your DirectX9
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/deta...6a-9b6652cd92a34. If nothing of this work then rightclick on desktop and then go Nvidia control panel then Manage 3d settings then Program settings then click Add and find the Exe u run a game on, for an example GTA4.exe and go on preferred graphic processor and then click high performance Nvidia processor and Apply.
Got this solutions from youtube.
