depends, if u have nvidia in ur Asus, then probably it supports optimus..

dont on AA though, it lags the game entirely

LOL. I tried it. I run it on 1366x768. Still smooth without lag. I'm using the Intel HD. If i enable shadows, lags a lot.

mine runs fine with shadow maxed lol.

I got Nvidia GT540 in it, i tried install the latest version posted few post back, it shows not compatible, and when I try auto update, it shows no new update available.

GT520M = Runs at 40FPS

GT540M = Runs at 45FPS

GT555M = Runs at 70FPS

according to notebookcheck.net benchmarks...
let 520m = 100%,
then 540m = 130%~140%
and 555m = 170%~180%

gt 520m has half the number of sps that gt 525m has

wanna update to newest version.. if dl at steam no need crack? wanna get less bug..

GT 525M = 120%
GT 540M = 140%
GT 550M = 160%
GT 555M = 180%

No wonder my friend who owns an Acer Aspire 4750G with core i5 and GT520M has hard time playing new games like Hot Pursuit and Assassin's Creed

on the other hand, my other friend has a Dell XPS15 with core i7 and GT435M, he can run games better than acer 4750G


so.......GT435M > GT520M


or do the Intel processors help in running games also?

Actually, there's a big difference between Steam games and downloaded games. Steam games are Original games which you have to buy from the website, the games no need to have cracks and you can play multiplayer on it. Downloaded games from pirated websites need cracks and cannot play multiplayer...

Like me, I bought the Call of Duty Black Ops for RM160 from Steam. I can play multiplayer. And Steam automatically helps to update my game, so that all the lag issues can be solved.

Before this, I tried the pirated version of Black Ops on my laptop, it runs quite laggy. I bought the original, now it is really smooth...

so, buy original if you have the money...

Its hard to check the version of a game. It depends on the last update that you installed on the game...

so, GT435M is on par with GT520M or is GT435M better than GT520M?

so, the naming of Nvidia card is like ATi where we look at the second number?

example, HD 5850M is better than HD 6770M

but 5850 is used in alienware m15x...and 6770 in DV6


5850 shud be better eh..

depend CPU also.. different 100 mhz for core & shader speed.. so the score got different.. personally stick v 2nd digit concept but now 2011 different story liau.. @@ confused.. i think go for 6 series for better option.. 5850 is 2010 card.. 1 yr old card.. sumore 6770 gddr5! 5850 also but got gddr3..

the card naming doesnt matter, the number of sps and clock frequency matter
