Did u paddle shift to keep the engine RPM to the MIVEC zone (shift only at redline), or u took the lazy driver way of just flooring the pedal and let CVT do what it does best (maximum efficiency for FC)???

And how will they secure the spoiler that is subjected to high speed wind force on it?? You trust a supplier that will only use double side tape to hold that spoiler??

Look under your boot cover, there are 3 holes there, ready to be drilled for LGT or EVO spoiler, and those holes are outside the boot rubber, so any water that does seep thru will run down that rain channel and out the back....

Also, pls check that the spoilers have soft foam pads at the bottom to prevent scratches and water from entering the holes...

Cheap dont necessarily means good.... moreover if it spoils your boot cover, compare the cost of changing that versus the spoiler...

Sit inside the car and press arm the alarm by button... beeping will go on for 10 seconds, but u gotta wait for another 20 seconds for the system to fully lock... after that 30 seconds, open the door from inside...

Ur car will go PEEN PEEN PEEN PEEN....

Then at the end of the wiper sweeps.... it will wait 3 seconds and wipe one more time...

His mech (donno if its authorised SC) over turned on the screw and it stripped of the thread, so cant move up or down anymore...

For that small yellowish plastic screw, he got a RM1700++ part replaced and paid for by Proton....

No wonder Proton is not doing that well....

According to PIOC and other ppl within Proton, some Inspira have slight steering veering problem. When you drive a straight road and your steering is held straight, some Inspiras will veer slightly to the left or right... and this is not due to the road nor your alignment (if alignment problem, your car only veer in one direction). This is due to the power steering fluid hose.

The initial batch (below 2K, but only proton knows) uses very much Lancer japan parts, including small parts like hoses too. The later batches (Feb - April), Proton uses local supplier to fill those parts, and yes, the hoses in those batches are from local suppliers. Hence the issue...

Wait for Proton to contact you via your mailing address... and drive slow if your car does veer to the sides... !!!

Anti rust is at the bottom, the missing black thingy is supposed to be the rubberized undercoat, to protect the bottom part from stone chips.... important? nice to have but is it another proton cost cutting measure? probably... and yes, there is such a thing as transparent anti rust liquids and coats... try Google...


Mitsu SC accepting Proton cars??? If so does Honda SC accepts Toyota cars coz they are Japanese brand, Merc SC accepting BMW coz they are German makes...??? Duh.....

Added on May 16, 2011, 11:54 amBro, check your supplier again.... other suppliers oredi selling em (use Google), perfect fit for Ins and LGT... only diff is its upside down for Inspira vs LGT, so they actually fit both models...

And yes, its lighted when on lights and brighter when press brakes, or u can use as rear DRL but u lose the brighter brake function...
