QUOTE(XCInspire @ Jun 30 2011, 09:34 AM) Both colors are very hard to maintain but at least white will not see swirl marks so easily as black under streetlight and looks sportier. Lazy ppl like me take silver, dirty or not cannot be seen so easily All colors are damn tough to maintain.... given our dust level, our heat, our many trees and birds in em...A strong regiment of cleaning, and maintaining (polish, wax, top coat protection) is required... |

QUOTE(ngjx @ Jun 30 2011, 08:32 PM) ic... bt according to the SC, I must buy from the SC the engine oil. If I buy from outside it will considered void warranty? if i use semi, it will b free.. b if i choose fully must pay around RM190 for the oil... ROTFFLMFAO.... engine oil can void warranty... btw, gt a mechanic told me better to get semi wor... the reason behind is becos if change every 5k, the oil is nt so dirty yet... hence will nt make the engine so "dirty" if use fully, change every 10k, the oild become more dirty d... therefore, will make the engine more "dirty".... is it true? They just want you to use their oil... if u bring your oil then what profit can they make from you..?? My advice, go ask other SC, most SC now allow you to top up diff to change to fully syn oil... i paid only RM142 to get fully syn oil... The fully vs semi oil topic have been around.... the full syn oil is created to break down lesser and retains its viscosity for a longer period. Thus this more the engine can run longer between oil changes... The fully syn oil is also made to lubricate better due to the better resistance to heat (less break down and better viscosity) will also help "clean" the engine better with lesser friction, thus also lesser "dirt"... So, if u religiously stick to the engine and oil manufacturer's recommendation for oil change routine, both oil works for a new engine such as the Inspira. On the same note, older cars that have been using fully syn can "down-grade" to semi but not the other way around. This is due to if the car have been using semi syn oil, the engine friction and wear & tear will create "bigger" gaps between the piston and its walls, and switching to fully now will make the oil "stick" less well as the gaps are bigger and the oils is more "thinner".... in layman terms la... |

QUOTE(Rubz77 @ Jul 1 2011, 11:49 PM) I noticed that the current batches don't have tweeters on the side mirrors. I hope this doesn't affect the performance of the sound system. Again, this has been said more than a million times (ok, a bit over but still.... Also, I read somewhere that the current batches don't have the black protective layer in the wheel arches. Is Proton cutting back on the specs of the Inspira ? There were NEVER any tweeter in any Inspira, the earlier batch have a tweeter mesh holes and a little housing to fit a tweeter, and allow the sound to pass thru. Later batch DONT have the mesh, so you cant install a tweeter and need other solutions for tweeters (like pay extra for housing)... Most newer cars dont have the black coating anymore, but someone has said that his/her car still has it.... anyway, newer cars have plenty of stuff that's already localize... like steering wrap material, tweeter mesh, radiator hoses, black coating.... cant recall more, brain not working now... |
