QUOTE(abubin @ Sep 28 2011, 06:29 PM)
a very common problem is when customer trying to bargain. Usually even at lowyat plaza, people will gather prices and so on and then bargain.

Like example, I always buy at Cycom and I tell which shop sell what price and so on. If they can lower then they will. But if cannot lower, they usually will say they cannot give me that price cause their cost is higher and so on. Usually, I will get from them anyway due to their sales service if price is not too much different.

However, the usual sales people will say..really so cheap there? Then you better buy from there. This for me is not the right way to deal with customers. It's like saying we don't want your business. Usually, when I hear this kind of comment then I will not buy from these people anymore. Sometimes it's also something like they don't believe you. The think their price is already king. Customers say ABC shop selling cheaper...it's like a mockery to their pricing. I understand that maybe they really make very little profit but still the kind of response to ask customer go buy somewhere else is not the right reply. Even if customers say that, they should say that is their best price already. Really cannot lower anymore instead of trying to challenge the customer.

You should understand, how many of such retail companies are willing to send their employees for training on CS etiquettes. It involves $$$, and most don't even bother, as long as they can talk and sell. You know how to quote "Low Yat Plaza", I bet you know the situation there, you just cannot expect first class customer service from them. Sides, with the amount of competition amongst themselves AND with the Malaysian cheap-skate mentality, I don't think those arses up the chain would even wanna invest on such thing.

I don't condone such behavior as well, as I've worked for Apple resellers before, I have been to such training that even certain words can't be used in front of customers. And I'm talking Apple here. In LYP, what can we expect from them...? It's the "take it or leave it" attitude.

Hell I've even seen customers interacting with sales staff with much little respect in an Apple store, but we have our own sets of motivations to counter that, but do those poor saps in LYP got them...? I bet it's even worse that than. Does the term "Last Price" ring a bell...? tongue.gif

yalor. all IT business now only take or leave attitude. Sometimes u listed one price, that is already cheapest to fight in market. End users not ever know the cost, of coz they will think like, oh this boss sure earn alot. then they try to get cheapest offer (normal as consumers). If seller cannot make it, but the buyer said XXX offer me lower RM1 or RM5 than your price. Maybe with some reason like , we not order in qty , canot fight with that price or we dont want to make enermy with other sellers, then ask buyer nicely go get alternatives. The buyers wil have different feelings like the seller is so ego. blah blah blah.

these happen if there are many sellers but same products. Apple store like monopoly for apple products. I dont see any customers will go there intend to buy one ipad 2, but argue the price say why forum lowyat selling cheaper RM100 than apple store, can discount abit or not.. hehe.

Tough market, everyone cari makan. Lowyat Plaza business so quiet nowadays, this is the good time to get the hardware so you can bargain "best price" with the shops smile.gif

QUOTE(LcBoy135z @ Dec 19 2011, 12:09 PM)

how come had an addtional words and make the stuff delayed again!!very2 sad to know this happen to me.

It's just a simple honest mistake of address error which also cause by Skynet personnel itself when I send it @ their office. Apology has been made BUT buyer seems do not accept any solution advise to him and being unreasonable & keep on repeating that he must receive the parcel today sweat.gif

Options For Him:
1. Called Skynet and they inform will re-route the parcel to him but only manage to reach him next day
2. Self collect at their branch
3. Do FULL REFUND while I request the parcel to be return

But this dude treat it as "SUPER BIG MATTER" like he's gonna "die" if cannot receive the parcel by today. Doesn't want any option above while in tele conversation make me "exploded" mad.gif
If you cannot accept the solution options given above, I guess nothing more I can do for you smile.gif In Bahasa Msia I guess people mention this kind of people is "Keras Kepala"

Mistake Address:
MUHAMMAD HANIF BIN HUSAIN
679 RUMAH KAKITANGAN POLIKLINIK KOMUNITI
BANDAR TUN RAZAK, KUANTAN 26900, PAHANG <---- KUANTAN added by Skynet personnel advise

Correct Actual Address:
MUHAMMAD HANIF BIN HUSAIN
679 RUMAH KAKITANGAN POLIKLINIK KOMUNITI
BANDAR TUN RAZAK 26900, PAHANG

Ya earlier I just follow what customer give, but Skynet personnel notice lack of information on the address. He said the area is in Kuantan so I just add-in. I'm not familiar with Pahang area, so I believe Skynet info is the correct one. Small matter only but this guy treat it like super duper big deal doh.gif

His tone of talking it's just like I'm "conning" him several thousand bucks laugh.gif

I face similar problem with skynet. I even wrote full address clearly and yet they said cannot find my house. Claim my area cannot find in their map or something so I had to give them direction to the nearest "jalan" to my house then only can they find. doh.gif

Anyhow back to topic...yes customer is always right but how much patience does a seller have to admit this.

shiping company. max can claim RM200 only, unless u pay for the insurance . dno how many percent of the product value. rare case, unless u sent too much parcels during long public holiday, i have experience with sure-reach 4-5 years ago, after they get missing my 2 parcels (HIS HD4850 iceQ4) to customers, then i no more deal with sure reach company.

well, lingloong case reminds me a similar case which i just started business 2 - 3 years ago
1. a buyer bought a mobo from me and insists request poslaju due to his place at klang dunno which part say private courier company is lousy.
2. payment made i courier the items.
3. poslaju sent late, online tracking system sucks
4. customer call and F words me upside down and accuse me conning him
5. politely apologize and give him a friendly reminder he is the one insists using poslaju, as well tell him when the items reach do courier back to me which i'll bear all the cost since you are so not satisfied.
6. items arrive after 10 working days (as i include saturday is a working day), customer call me up early in the morning not for apologize for his rudeness but tell me "lain kali jangan con tau, i sumpah kan bunuh engkau". (early in the morning putih putih kena for nth)

so, do it still "customer always right" ? enlight me smile.gif
p/s: is a lyn forumer smile.gif

Thanks for sharing this kind of post.

My experience is...Last time I sell a headphone to a customer,to emphasize that I did mention the headphone is not genuine one, after the buyer received,he said he want to refund because it's not genuine and he said that I mention it's genuine. If I don't want refund he will log a police report and sue me to the consumer court
