Thanks. Btw stupid question here. Would a 5.1 system where the rear speakers placed in front instead of the back stimulate the same sound as a 2.1 system?

Reason being can hardly find decent 2.1 system and the 5.1 system has blue ray somemore, future proof also because who knows might buy blue ray and fully use the 5.1

logitech suck after new model especially with the new model
try edifier s730 bro far more better than the Logitech u mention up there

S730 can drive sound well across 12feet+ for my living room?

Btw is the S730 really better than the Z906?

in better wise... both are somewhat... standard LOL

Z906 have more speakers for more midrange power but meh...

S730D will only boom you up with bass and nothing much.

budget below RM200. whats the best for clarity for playing instrumental music such as pink floyd? pls dont recommend bass loaded crappy speaker. if ATP3 is better id rather try to find them second hand.

but z5500 doesn't sound as deep and low as z906 O.o

I believe it should do the job 'if' you do not mind what I mentioned in the corsair thread

but I believe the Z906 is a few hundreds over your budget.

@power911: I think I'll get the Edifier S730 as it is an all rounder, good in music and movies. If there is a lot of details lost, I'll just pump up the volume:

hi, to all sifu here, can suggests me a Speaker decent enough for me?
main concern is
-2.1/2.0
-i love music, Joanna Wang, Olivia Ong, Emi Fujita jus to name few wat i like nw. but at the same time i listen to some pop and sometimes gt mood i like to blast those bassy one like from Tiesto.
-i watch movie, so need some power.
-budget below 1K...currently looking at JBL Sound Stick(scare not power enough).
-currently dun hv much $$ so dunwan to get highend 1 coz in future i'll upgrade. and nw using PC to play song oni.
-my room is 104 Square ft , around 26m³
-my cousin using logitech z623 and the bass is terrible...

Audioengine is also close range.. it's good but not good enough for some far range.
well it has a flat like response (if I could remember) so movies will be a lil less interesting

Altec lansing is good but it isn't as impressive for the price. Quite... cheap sounding

Logitech Z623 is also good (if you're into boomy gaming XD)

the only two that is a good all rounder for the price

My take on the pros and cons of each:

Z906
Pros: Good system, got 4.1 stereo(which I will use), compact and small
Cons: Lacking mid range

BDV-E490
Pros: Seems like a good deal. Has 3D Blu ray player, powerful RMS,
Cons: Probably cant configure to play 4.1 stereo

I think if you're gonna use 4.1 stereo for sony, you gotta play with the cable work by plugging via aux/portable 3.5mm I guess (if they have{normally in front})

instead of 4.1 you'll get 5.1 XD

if it's in stereo,should be okay.

just disconnect the center channel to avoid loss of stereo image.
