Using Denon AH-D1001, it seems to fit ur requirements. Lightweight, portable, extremely comfortable(I can wear it for 3-4 hours without any fatigue).. It's also a good all-rounder headphones. I listen to almost every types of songs and they sound good in most of the songs.

Give it a try.   wink.gif

EDIT: Forgot to mention that they pair really good with Hippo Box+. So u don't have to worry finding a new amp for it  tongue.gif
*
haha that's interesting. doesnt look as nice as the FA-004 though. and twice the price. hmmm..
and i dont own a Hippo Box+ YET. and good thing too, since the E11 is almost out. haha

hey guys, is it worth to spend on beats by dr.dre solo hd,
to use with my ipod and laptop?
or i could get something much better within the budget?
i like the design but i didnt hear much good sound review from it.
+ im more toward sound quality, comfortable & portability.
do you think dr.dre solo HD can fulfill the requirement?
and do you know where can i try and test it?
been lurking around apple store but never see them put beats by dre to be test by customers.
will get this masterpiece soon when my allowance was given..

I don't know, I've never tried the solo HD before. Also, I prefer IEMs to headphones so my opinion might be biased tongue.gif
Go to Jaben and try it for yourself biggrin.gif

i've tried the Beats Studio HD. not worth the price, seriously. and i doubt the Solo is any better.
eventhough ironically, the Beats were responsible for bringing me into the audiophile world. hahahaha
when i first discovered it early last year i was like "WHOAAHH MUST SAVE UP TO BUY THIS BEAUTIFUL THING!" then i tried it and i was disappointed to say the least.

and yeah you can probably find better IEMs around that budget. and i don't like IEMs so that's not a biased opinion. haha

hmm i don't know much about IEMs but a-Jays would probably suit your budget.
if you want headphones, i discovered Fischer Audio FA-004 today, and i'm falling in love with it lol. not bad price and it's quite lightweight. according to the reviews i read, not bad also.

If you're looking for an IEM, you can refer to my first post on the first page. There's a really good link there where Head-Fi member ljokerl reviews 160+ IEMs as of this writing. That should get you started on choosing an IEM that suits you.

For its price yes, but I suggest you try them out yourself to see if you like it's sound signature. Just because many people like it does not necessarily mean you will too. Just speaking from past experience.

Here is the better option to the Dre's.

This review by the very critical iLounge basically sums up all.

We can’t speak for Dr. Dre’s personal sonic preferences, but his music sounded superior to our ears through the On Ear Wangs than his own Beats Solo HD. - Jeremy Horwitz ( Editor-in-Chief, iLounge )

Fischer Audio DBA-02 or wait for the upcoming Brainwavz B2 which seems identical to DBA-02.
