QUOTE(crusher @ Apr 25 2011, 03:33 PM) Hi guys, I listen to Linkin Park, Green Day, Paramore, sometimes Coldplay and some chinese song. Please recommend an In Ear Monitors OR any type of headphone that suitable for the songs above. Budget wise would be around RM500. Thank you for replies. Grado SR80i or Alessandro Ms1i. They are really good for rocks.

QUOTE(watekeke @ Apr 30 2011, 07:35 PM) hi..is there any big difference between senheiser cx300 n cx300 II precision?? They are exactly the same in term of sound quality. The only difference is that CX300-II is using the shell that CX400 and CX500 are using, and also CX300-II has Y-cable while the older version is J-cable. CX300-II is reported more durable compared to its predecessor.

QUOTE(nabzblitz @ May 8 2011, 05:55 PM) Hey guys wanna ask your opinion on headphones. I'm currently using Shure SRH440 but they're kinda big and not really portable to be used on the go. sooo... - My Rig: iPod Nano 4gen - Type of usage: music listening - File format: FLAC, MP3 VBR - Music genre: Acoustic, Rock, Alternative (you can see from my sig i'm a Radiohead fan), Screamo, Electro, House, Dubstep, almost everything except those mainstream Bieber-ish songs? haha - Budget: < RM600? - Headphone/ earphone type: Over-ear Headphones - Other requirements: Has to be lightweight, portable. I'm thinking Fischer Audio FA-004. They look great, seems to have good reviews and the price isn't bad. And then there's the AiAiAi TMA-1. Looks great as well, also seems to have good reviews but kinda expensive. Also, is it On-ear or Over-ear? AAAND 1 more thing, anyone tried the Fiio E11 amp? is it comparable to Hippo Box+/Ordnance .22/Govibe Martini etc etc? haha I liked how my Shure sounded with the Hippo Box+ (i find that the SRH440 is kinda lacking bass without it), not so much on the ordnance because it made the highs sound kinda ear-piercing. Using Denon AH-D1001, it seems to fit ur requirements. Lightweight, portable, extremely comfortable(I can wear it for 3-4 hours without any fatigue).. It's also a good all-rounder headphones. I listen to almost every types of songs and they sound good in most of the songs. Give it a try. EDIT: Forgot to mention that they pair really good with Hippo Box+. So u don't have to worry finding a new amp for it This post has been edited by CoolBoy89: May 8 2011, 08:40 PM

QUOTE(nabzblitz @ May 10 2011, 06:38 PM) Hmm.. according to this review the FA-004 is quite good. Just not sure if it's worth paying double the price for the Denon. haha. Are you selling it at the store? Yes they have it. I bought mine from them too.

QUOTE(tunertoobe @ May 25 2011, 10:03 PM) PcWorks...and if I recall correctly i_djoel2000(or something)....the latter has a sales thread about interconnects. I asked him about recabling my SR60i, and I think the price is reasonable. PcWorks is too busy I guess.. I've pmed him once about recabling on my headphones and he didn't reply Yes, look for either i_djoel2000 or ssyycc (got a DIY 3.5mm interconnect from him).

QUOTE(hakunamatata @ Jun 12 2011, 01:03 AM) Which has better bass? shure srh240 or sennheiser HD202? The build quality of sennheiser seems a lil plasticky HD202 undoubtedly. Shure SRH series are meant for monitoring and everything is presented in a neutral way. QUOTE(xAmdx @ Jun 12 2011, 07:17 AM) Sifu, need some advice. I am using ipod 4g and planning to upgrade my headphone. currently using denon ah310. Budget around rm1500 -2000, any good recommendation. prefer heavy bass 1, I thinking of getting monster beats pro but saw review not good. U have alot of choices in that price range. Denon D2000, Sennheiser HD650..both of them are good for bass but the latter might be a lil bit picky for amps. This post has been edited by CoolBoy89: Jun 12 2011, 11:02 AM

QUOTE(ezee123 @ Jun 13 2011, 06:33 PM) Hi, I am looking to get a pair of IEM for my husband, I have no ideas about earphones so hope the sifu here can help me a little...... - Rig (iPod, iPad) - Type of usage (80% Musics, 20% Movies ) - file format (mp3) - genre (I don't know what he listens to... LOL but some rock, some pops and also oldies) - requirements (IEM ) - Budget : less then RM1,000 Other requirements: He always said he doesn't want to hear outside noise and also doesn't want people to hear what he is listening to and he always stressed that he like the bass with the current earphones, so I guess bass is important Thanks in advance for the recommendations Have a look at Ultimate Ears Triple.fi 10 too.

QUOTE(louyit @ Jul 15 2011, 12:20 PM) thanks for the recommendation, AD700 looks retro to me, but it's fine. Did a quick search and found out there are actually A700 and AD700, may i know what are the differences please? and is bulking from Amazon safe? 1) Basically A700 and AD700 are the same, in-term of sound quality. The only difference is one is closed-back and another is opened-back headphones. 2) It's quite safe I think.

QUOTE(louyit @ Jul 15 2011, 03:10 PM) may i know opened-back or closed-back is better if i were to use it at home only? It's all personal preference. Closed back has isolation and most minimum sound-leakage but opened back is said to have better sound quality.
