To summarize it, cancellation is active while isolation is passive. Most of the IEMs have isolation, when u put it into ur ears u don't listen much noises from outside. Noise cancellation wise, it will produce a low humming sound (anti-noise signal to be exact) to block all the noise from outside so that u can enjoy ur music in plane, train, etc.

- My Rig: laptop/desktop - Type of usage: 90% music 10% movies - File format: 192-320kbps mp3 - Music genre: safe to say i listen to all kinds of music, from lady gaga to snsd to hans zimmer - Budget: under rm200 - Headphone/ earphone type: on ear/over ear headphones - Other requirements (if any): comfy for using many hours/ have nice physical design.

Go google for noise canceling earphones. For good quality sound as you had asked for initially, there is the AKG K390NC. It is almost 3 times your budget. What type of earphone is great for workout in gym and running.
main problem with working out is the wire tangling and also the comfort of it. any brand that fits in comfortably and won't fell off. budget at rm 150
