QUOTE(celciuz @ May 25 2011, 09:33 AM) Most of the time it would be ok. But some condition will confuse the metering and then your exposure would be no good. Then again, it depends on the photographer. What type of exposure does the photographer want. You control your camera, not your camera control you. QUOTE(Andy214 @ May 25 2011, 09:43 AM) Yup, tumpang add on: then how would i judge which metering mode that should i use to get the effects of vibrant color that i want. Remember, the camera is a device, it cannot see or know the real situation, it use its sensor and calculte the appropriate exposure. Example: If the background is very bright and you subject standing in front of the background. The camera cannot see or know what's going on and cameras have limited dynamic range unlike human eyes. In matrix metering mode, the camera will expose for the whole frame, thus giving you 'incorrect' exposure to the subject. This situation you can dial in exposure compensation (in non manual mode) or if you're on manual mode, you can't rely on the metering unless you dial in the correct exposure compensation. OR, you can change the metering mode, e.g. spot metering, so the camera will meter the spot which you focus instead of the entire frame. Anybody please help to corrct me if I get any part wrong, or have something to add on or provide better explanation. and nikon exposure compensation is beside the flash thingy right? inside the navigation screen i mean |

There are 2 eV - One that controls your BODY exposure compensation and another one is called flash exposure, which appears as + and - on the back of your flashgun, that one controls your flash output.and nikon exposure compensation is beside the flash thingy right? inside the navigation screen i mean |

K I’ve learnt to use the manual mode, and adjust the bar to “0” to get picture with correct exposure.
But when the place get too dark, e.g. sometimes in house, or at night, I can’t follow the bar right? So how do I gauge whether my picture with correct exposure or not? |

QUOTE(cyclone9 @ May 25 2011, 02:51 PM) can use better than kit lens? yes, eventually you will upgrade from kit lens.most of my friends say no need use kit lens as you gonna upgrade soon to other lens. but again depends on you. I saw a guy who take 1 years to upgrade from kit lens. me personally take 6 months for upgrade. and with kit lens you will learn a lot as long as you are not blaming you lens for you fail attempt I saw a lot of guys blaming their kit lens for their fail attempt. and fast fast sell it off This post has been edited by aldosoesilo: May 25 2011, 02:58 PM |
