there's a 2500mah eneloop as well, should i go for the 2500mah or the 2000mah?

more is better i think ,
might can have a better refresh rate .

Yup, something like that, in a nutshell, I would say that the colors look flattering lar and pleasant to eyes without much of PP.

I'm not very technical with lenses, but having sharp focus wide open requires a good combo of lens and body, and also skill, right?

The most important is the lens itself. Then body is more for the focus hit rate, better AF system might hit say 9/10 not so good AF might hit maybe 6/10 or so.
