Think of getting m14x but heard the fan noise problem is quite serious.

Is it really that loud?

My left GPU ventilation fan broken down (decrease in RPM). Called Dell and they only can deliver the replacement on last Sunday but the problem is my flight was on last Sunday.

So here am I at Egypt with defective fan. GPU 1 107 degree but GPU 2 65 degree during full load.

Don't worry bro. I'm gonna be carefull rather than waste my money lols. Market is down and is time to start buying up investments again if u get what I mean brows.gif If theres excess money I'll get the upgrade which means off loading my 6970 as well. Maybe I can get a good deal from some forumers. But seriously lower temps? Hmmm he undervolt his card? I'm still waiting for a full report from overseas forum regarding the swap. Wanna see his HWInfo and gaming temps stats etc.

Still, after a while the fan will kick in to full speed and the noise will get just as loud. The BIOS update only delay the noise, not eliminated it altogether.

To m15x comrades who are still on idt audio - everytime i reboot it sets to default headphones - which have terrible sound on my altec lansing vs2621. I have to open the control panel everytime to untick it.

[attachmentid=2464393]

Can i adjust any settings so it doesnt default to headphone every reboot?

Yeah, of course it won't be eliminated haha, that's just asking for trouble yo laugh.gif
At least the fans don't kick in abruptly, which is kind of annoying hmm.gif

I experience this as well. Mine worse, sometimes have to change POWER MANAGEMENT to POWER SAVER, and then back to MAX PERFORMANCE before my clocks go up. So nowadays I just open techpowerup. If I see the clocks stated there is low, I do the STEALTH MODE trick first , and if that doesn't work, the power one normally works all the time. Power issue maybe? Cos I'm running on the 2GB 6970. I'm not sure in your case as you're on the 5850. But happens to M15x only. Hmm.... hmm.gif

Can you please point out where is the expensive part?

Yeah warranty, RAM and HDD are very expensive in US. We suggest using your own HDD and RAM instead of upgrading it. As for warranty, it is possible to purchase from us and then extend your own from Dell Malaysia. Our M14x and M11x are priced at the same as Dell Malaysia. Do understand that our M14x base specs are higher than Malaysia base spec.

However, our M17x 3D and non 3d prices are lower than Dell Malaysia, especially the 3D one.

We are pricing based on Dell Malaysia, please throw in some pools.

We appreciate your feedback. smile.gif
