Afaik, the hinge replacement program is valid over here... just snap a picture and show them.
As fro warranty extension, you can ask for Mr. Docter's helpĀ  nod.gif
*
do you have source for the program that mention it works here.. I would like to see it please. notworthy.gif

because last time I spoke with the customer service guy, he mentioned that theres no announcement about it in their forum. thats why they urge me to extend the warranty instead. rclxub.gif

EDIT : also fund this http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware-...e-design-8.html
but the dude still got warranty ? mine already expired sad.gif

I have the Dell slim air adapter. Can buy mine if u want it fast. tongue.gif
I still have full set with box n manual.

This Dell slim air adapter is complete set for traveller. Can be use inside airplane, car, etc. drool.gif

http://forum.notebookreview.com/dell/21115...ter-review.html

Alienware M11X R3 running on powercord with 90W adapter.

The slim air adapter is specifically made for notebooks that require 65W power, notebooks that require 90W power will operate slower and the battery will take a long time to charge than it would with a standard 90W adapter.

If you want small and best performance, should go for the Acbel power adapter.. lowyat selling abt rm150+

Its 90W.

65W also can use but slower battery charging and normal performance.

hi all im new in this thread and im super noob hope u all dun mind notworthy.gif

im considering buying m15x or m17x but just have a few questions...

1. does m15x/m17x have a blu-ray writer/ reader?

2. what the difference for a 9 cell primary battery(m17x) over 6 cell primary battery(m15x)? is it 9 cell last longer?

3. for the m17x r3, what is "CrossFireX Dual 1GB GDDR5 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870"? Does it mean that in future i can add in another Radeon HD 5870 to cross fire with the current one? how much roughly does another Radeon HD 5870 cost?

4. what is alienhead 3D? is this 3D vision?

thx.... notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

1. Depends your config.
2. Larger battery, longer battery life, heavier.
3. That mean it already has 2 HD5870, and its M17x R2. M17x R3 only has single GPU.
4. The head on the lid?

I also use it for my M11X R2 when travelling outside.
Battery charging time slower abit.
Performance wise... still ok.

Some heavy duty task/gaming needs high power adapter..its recommended for 90W adapter.

yep, just called them.. but make sure to call the 'Customer Service' Dept. NOT the 'Technical Support' tongue.gif
he gave me his email address to post the photo of the broken hinge. and yes, he recognise the m11x hinge replacement program and will not charge me for it.
