The one definite improvement I see in this phone over my "older" phones is how fast web pages load up. Scrolling is so much smoother compared to the HTC Incredible S.

No, I had no intention of trading in my phone but since he offered, I take lo. I still have to pass him the box, headset, charger next week.

Managed to get my hands on the LG optimus last night at LG shop...the phone seems ok to me..i wouldnt say its blazing fast and smooth...but it does the job...no lag issues..

Now to try the incredible s, but again out of all my research all htc phones have 1 major problem..BATTERY life...

So im stuck again between these 3 phones...love sense ui, but hardware not very convincing..but its hard to say coz i never own 1..so to all htc users..is it worth buying htc phones??? Wud it be GOOD enuf?? If all of you here answer yes...then ill just get htc instead of sgs2..

I mean sgs2 is freaking awesome but not likely out of the box experience i guess..yes of course,rooting...i might have to get a "rooting for dummies" guide later on...if only it was easy as jailbreaking..is it? Just my 2 cents

Problem now is,cant wait any longer...as my BB is spoiled...So i need a phone by next week...if possible monday...i hope ill be happy with sgs2..or maybe i can get incredible s or optimus2x...

If u wanna get HTC, why not wait for HTC sensation? it's coming out real soon. Uk already taking pre-order.
Since u like sense ui, u must consider Sensation, cos incredible S is not getting the new htc sense 3.0.

i wonder why so many people keep say htc better than sgs2 in sgs2 tread ??

using dhd now & arc/2x before, i must say thinness & light body is not an issue for me.
just that i havent use samsung android b4.

placed order for sgs2 also because hoping can get without tax. (rm 2250)
if final price cost me more than 2.6k, i'll sell it asap.

& sense doesnt really matter, for me atleast.

We're not saying it's better. But some ppl just don customize their phone and will later post some ridiculous comment saying the icon size sucks lar, them ugly lar, the wallpaper ugly lar, etc etc. Since HTC's sense is out of box ready for them. They should get it to save them troubles.

I also have an issue.

the game Glyder 2. It lags the shit in my phone..... I have no idea why? the controls are screwed, I tried recalibrating my gyro and horizontal calibration...

For gaming, im not sure how far this phone can go, but if ur talking flash gaming on the site itself, none can challenge it then....

i was skyping with my bro this morning, we compared our phones...
his optimus 2x was no match for mine in browsing, and flash games

so in short, for SGS2, we need to root and wait for developers to make full use of the bootloader to get its maximum potential?
which means until then, we can only get the out of box experience, which some people have a few issues with it. is that it?

Id say take a tegra device if ur planning for gaming, aka wait for samsung's tegra2 sgs2
