QUOTE(ameeyn @ May 11 2011, 12:30 PM) wow,so expensive how about the cheaper models ranging from rm100 - 150? how do I know that the headset will be compatible with galaxy tab? I think most BT headsets are compatible with galaxy tab. You can consider other Jabra, iTech, BlueAnt models, best if allowed to test before purchase.

QUOTE(yolk @ May 11 2011, 05:22 PM) does the jawbone/jabra show caller id on the bluetooth headset ? If yes does it show only phone number or including name ? TIA The Jabra Extreme, no. The Jawbone Icon, yes, the voice prompt in the headset will say, 'Call from 012-123456789' when that caller calls me. No LED/LCD display on both headsets, so no caller ID display in the visual sense.

You're looking for a latch-on piggyback pack or a cabled pack-charger thing? Perhaps the one below? http://shop.brando.com/usb-power-station-f...0c1229d011.html

QUOTE(peterscm @ May 12 2011, 02:26 AM) can u use the TAB while charging it? since the output max is only 1A. TAB uses more than 1A. Tab needs 2A, right? Not sure bro. I don't have the charger pack.

QUOTE(benny888 @ May 12 2011, 03:04 PM) In SGS thread, our bro kmrdeva is Flash King. Chinese saying - if he claim to be number 2 , no one dare to claim as number one-loh ! Aiyo, don't la say until like that. You are the real SGT guru, I am just a small fish when it comes to my SGS. The only thing in any way special about me is that I really really read the bloody guides/manuals instead of asking in the forums. Don't want to kena burn in the CM7 forums..

QUOTE(aruja_69 @ May 13 2011, 12:07 AM) I still can't connect Kies with my Tab and so how to install the new software. New software as in new apps? Just download and install from the market. If you're referring to new firmware as in the latest Android 2.3.3, you can't use Kies for that (yet).

QUOTE(jloi @ May 13 2011, 11:16 AM) is it a must to use GB-stock-safe kernel to update overcome 2.0? Best to do so, although many reported no problems going to overcome 2.0 after loading stock gingerbread firmware. Mind you, doing the GB-stock-safe method will wipe your internal SD (e.g. where your TitaniumBackup data is stored) so do backup to PC or external SD first, then remove the external SD while flashing. Update : Have installed overcome 2.0 beta2. My gawd, it's smooth!!! Still loses to my CM7 on the SGS, though, ha ha. No time to run Quadrant yet, will update my forum sig later today. QUOTE(danieloo @ May 13 2011, 02:00 PM) I bet you using update version instead of FULL CWR Version? Not sure what you mean by FULL CWR. I went up to Overcome 2.0 beta2 via the recommended restock process. Easy to do as long as you really read the PDF guide and don't simply skim over the important details, like what some people did and complained that they've lost their whole internal sd data (in the xda dev forum thread). QUOTE(thepittbull @ May 13 2011, 02:39 PM) It's inherently faster and very well optimised, despite the RFS file-system found within. One irony is that, you'll encounter a very much lower Quadrant/other synthetic benchmark scores compared to the older much-optimised FroYo-based Overcome 1.x, which is attributable, we believe, to the RFS FS. This is one clear example, that synthetic benchmarks aren't the end-all when it comes to measuring a device and the experience it provides. Before pre-release battery of tests we've conducted, at best Quadrant gave me only 1,200! If you were to take the scores as the gospel truth, you'd think that the Gingerbread base is slow as molasses, but using it in real-life, it's definitely not so, right? ;-) Synthetic benchmarks are just that, synthetic.. Buddy, you're the fella who wrote the Overcome guides, no? One of the best step-by-step guides I've come across on the web!! I donated last night to alterbridge86 via paypal, I wonder if a bit of that 'beer' goes to you too? Hope you don't mind my asking. I always believe in giving something back.. Added on May 13, 2011, 3:53 pmQUOTE(rayzrblade @ May 13 2011, 03:45 PM) is it here? is it here? is gingerbread officially on Kies? No. This post has been edited by kmrdeva: May 13 2011, 03:53 PM

QUOTE(thepittbull @ May 13 2011, 04:21 PM) Shhh..... don't say it too loudly. ;-) but thanks for the compliment! I'll give you a secret I've never actually told anyone, not even the team... I was actually inspired by brother Benny here. Benny is da' man, I agree. Added on May 13, 2011, 6:30 pmQUOTE(enaleni @ May 13 2011, 04:45 PM) hahaha finally you with overcome at last i thought u want spend 2 or 3 day using stock GB.... hahaha but i very impress with GB OC performance so smooth silky maaa....... Tak boleh tahan, I had overcome froyo ROM on my Tab ever since I got it 1+ weeks back. So obviously must go to 2.0 beta asap ha ha. This post has been edited by kmrdeva: May 13 2011, 06:30 PM

QUOTE(abel @ May 16 2011, 01:18 PM) how the Overcome Gingerbread rom ? all things working Overcome 2.0.0 beta2 is nice! I had only used 1.6.4 for about a week or two when GB arrived for the Tab. My current impressions of GB-based Overcome 2.0 are: 1. Smoother overall scrolling experience 2. Notifications pulldown is not jittery anymore 3. Lower quadrant score but overall performance feels better than Froyo-based Overcome 1.6.4. 4. Battery life seems a tad bit better, especially after battery calibration (which one should always do after jumping ROMs) 5. Games play just as well as they did on Froyo (not a heavy gamer myself, only hooked on Spiderman, Shadown Guardian and PES2011) 6. GB + Flash 10.3 have worked wonders on web browsing experience. The Tab web experience is waaaay better than on my previous iPad

QUOTE(danieloo @ May 16 2011, 02:10 PM) * wait for iPad Fan to backfire this..... Ha ha, I don't think my poor browsing experience on the iPad was due to just lack of flash. For some reason, I felt quite stupid when browsing with Safari mobile, iCabMobile and even Atomic web browser on the iPad. Maybe the 'i' thing is not really meant for a user such as myself. Browsing on the Tab (or even my SGS) with Dolphin Mini, Miren and especially Opera Mobile (all user-agents set to 'desktop') has actually made tablet usage worthwhile for me again..
