good point. which store in guanmen is "first in town"? the pasar that havent opened is one of them right?

7-9 year ago the first starbuck store beside coach (old wing) was doing rm100k+ per day on public hols, 70-80k on weekends..

Then came the store near lagoon, pinnacle & now pyramid west hotel.

Side question, all the three Starbucks in Pyramid are owned by the same franchisee?

Yes, and profit margin for coffee must be sky-high. The cost of making a cup of RM10 coffee could be only RM2-3.

Nope..i bliv starbuck cost more than that to make..

I only know of 1-2 starbuck with bad biznes n close down with 1 being nzs mall in ara d.. if tamen starbuck still empty i know where next after few yrs..

It was rm2 for chicken that costs rm5..then free kopi n pastry with NO purchase required. I really hope this brings people or what next?? pay u to eat thr?! how long the biz can keep throwing money to exchange for footfall?

Drink cost at starbuck is below 20%. However, they pay a lot rental for premium location.

Sources told me the cost of per cup of coffee is more definitely than RM2-3, its closer to 50-60% of the retail price to customers, the rest are their profit margin.

If u bliv thats how costs are calculated, then u cn never be a bizman.. Beans are just one of many variable costs..what abt d fixed costs then??

To give 1 kopi & 1 pastry, its gona cost rm2-3 easily.. this will affect d coffee shop n cafes biznes as who wouldnt want a free drink and pastry..Then we mus have d starbuck discussion again

After all, giving free food seems like the only option now. Expect more to come..

so how the biz now with all the free free free? they shld hv just continue free parking too.
