QUOTE(MonGJiHyo @ Jun 16 2017, 01:50 PM) yes.. i noticed quite a lot of shops had closed down at tropcity too.. but still the mall is much better than sstwo mall (already chaplap) and glo mall (DAMN EMPTY) it is easy to rent a space in mall now, many malls face the sameseveral months later after china ecommerce fully invade local market with sepang warehouse ready to deliver stuff on next day many retail biz would start to feel the heat, especially in klang valley not suitable to being middleman trading any more |

Passing by the ss2 mall on and off, I was wondering, if they open back just the row of shop lots facing the housing area side, there will be people going there. A cafe, mamak, etc. People from nearby just walk across and have their breakfast, Al fresco dining.

in 3 years it will be 10th anniversary of this crappy mall with stupidly narrow car park entry
anyway with major road jalan harapan completed now, it's more visible and connected to more parts of pj, completely different situation from before and value of this mall should go up in theory can fit a fancy market / hypermarket inside |

"Developer DK Group of Companies has bought the mall owner, SStwo Mall Sdn Bhd.
DK Group founder Danny Koek Tiang Kung says the plan is to build a 250-room hotel and some serviced apartments. The retail space from its current net lettable area of 460,000 sq ft will be reduced to between 260,000 sq ft and 300,000 sq ft. Koek says: βIt has about 7.81 acres, so there is enough space for all the developments. Read more at https://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...MKOBqD.99" Hotel ?! Who wants to stay here? |

can have business class hotel like best western or holiday inn express. small supermarket or convenience store and cafes, kopitiam.
must have some kind of public transport like mrt feeder/public bus/taxi/grabcar hub. no hanky panky joint in hotel otherwise auntie and uncle stay opposite will call the police. |
