QUOTE(guanteik @ Mar 18 2010, 08:49 AM) @keeseng12, thanks, guanteik. It could be in year 2008 or years before that. The problem with LHDN is whenever we make a payment, they never acknowledge that e.g. sending a notice of payment received to the tax payer. It's very common to see this happens around. BTW, if you have paid in year 2008, probably what you can do is print and bring the payment statement to them. It might help. I managed to clean that "soaked letter" and it was kinda torn into several pieces. was playing jigsaw puzzle yday. It was for year 2007. The letter was saying that there was an amount of money that hasn't been declared. It's around RM2.5K. I was kinda assuming that it could be bonus or 1 month salary that I didn't declare that time. But it's really hard to check that out. I've lost my 2007 EA form, sending email to my previous company for the EA form. Awaiting reply. Haiz... LHDN really making me speechless. Haiz. But nvm, I'm going to show them a letter indicating that there's an amount of PCB that I didn't declare as well. Added on March 18, 2010, 3:09 pmWah, I got a shocked when I called my ex-company. The payroll gal was saying to me that all EA form (older) has been archived and it's on a remote office. If I need the old EA form, I need to talk to them and there might be some slight charges incurred. I was like "huh??". Is there such thing? QUOTE(Andy214 @ Mar 18 2010, 12:50 PM) Sorry some noob question: it is the jumlah before "jumlah potongan"For the BE form Personal Income: Do I take the "JUMLAH" at the bottom of the EA Form? Or just my Gaji Kasar + Bonus? As I notice the "JUMLAH" is total of Gaji Kasar + Bonus + Cukai Pendapatan paid by Employer. |

QUOTE(keeseng12 @ Mar 17 2010, 08:24 PM) just received a letter from LHDN, but very funny thing, the letter was dropped into the drain, my neighbor told me that. in my case where i wrongly claimed deduction for my wife, my overpaid tax that year was used to offset the 'underpaid' tax the previous year..and LHDN automatically adjusted that without even me having to reply to them.. Dug it out and open it, the letter says that i still need to pay extra RM100++ even though my BE letter that i've just submitted lately saying that i've overpaid and i should be getting the money back from them instead of giving them. Pissed off at the moment. I mean why the discrepancies? Any idea on how to go about this? Go to LHDN to dig out my file? This post has been edited by attahun: Mar 18 2010, 06:11 PM |

Now, they're sending me letter saying that i didn't declared a certain amount of income. i wish they automatically adjust everything for me. Went to LHDN today (first time step into that building as previously did everything with e-filing. the building is nice, lol). Went to ask them about the Borang JA that i've received 2 days ago. They explained to me that it was the amount that i wrote back in my tax form for YA2008. Checked it again, yes, I wrote it back then under "Pendapatan Tahun Kebelakangan" that didn't declared back then. Surprised that only now they sent the form to me. The tax system even stated the amount of PCB that i mentioned earlier. So, what the system did is that the money that I'm going to get is gonna be like this: =(Total that they need to pay me back for YA2009) - ((Amount of tax for the undeclared income that I've mentioned earlier) - (the undeclared PCB that i've mentioned earlier)). LOL. |

If you were to look at the examples cancer , HIV, renal failure, cardiac arrest , Alzeimer given , I would not consider dengue as in the category. A better comparision is the list for critical illnesses which entitles you to claim for life insurance |

Friends,
Here comes the time of the year again... filling of tax forms! I've been earning a living from the Internet for most of 2009, and have been wondering if Internet business income is taxable. There's a thread somewhere here (quite an outdated one... posted in 2007) that it's not taxable, but I'm just wondering if there's any update on this. I'm planning to call IRB next week, but anyone with experience and knowledge in this please do share. Thanks! kyaizen |
