Simple fact is that the XV is too small and too overpriced. Why pay 20k more for a smaller CUV? Subaru service center also limited. People would buy the XV for the badge only, which is silly.
The Forester on the other hand is a different story! |

QUOTE(winterspring @ May 12 2014, 01:29 AM) Hello to all sifus here. I'm planning to get a ASX 2WD sooner (join the family). The 2wd is 1350 kg which is 1.35 ton right? 1.8 ton is the max weight when fully laden. So fc on the 2wd is actually very good compared to other competitors in the CUV segment. Mostly are 1.4-1.5 tons. Asx also has the cvt which is fuel efficient compared to regular auto. But before that, i need some precious and genuine feedbacks from all the sifus and ASX owner. -How is the FC in city + weekend long distance? It's a 1.8 tons car, do it feel "dragging" when picking up speed during traffic? -For 2014, Mitsubishi claims to have reduced NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) levels in the cabin. Is that true? -Reported to have burning smell inside the cabin?? Speed is ok. Nothing amazing, pickup from zero is slightly sluggish which is normal for cvt. Accelerating from cruising speed to overtaking speed is good. Can maintain stable high speeds on higelhway well. 2014 NVH on my Asx is ok. Could be improved more especially the isolation from the cvt. Noisy when you are throttling hard but not noticeable at lower rpms. Highway cruising noise is so-so. Nothing amazing nothing terrible. What burning smell??? This post has been edited by ivanpei: May 12 2014, 05:43 PM |

QUOTE(winterspring @ May 12 2014, 01:29 AM) Hello to all sifus here. I'm planning to get a ASX 2WD sooner (join the family). For city drive especially in jams, i dont think any car would be really fuel efficient, unless u drive hybrids/ev..for me, long distance i managed 8.6 - 6.6 l/100km, top speed up to 210kmh..for the 'sluggishness', it just the nature of cvt..felt like no power, but still ahead of other cars off the traffic lights..just bear with it n get used to it..for the burning smell, usually happened during sudden acceleration/rev such as over taking n uphill..But before that, i need some precious and genuine feedbacks from all the sifus and ASX owner. -How is the FC in city + weekend long distance? It's a 1.8 tons car, do it feel "dragging" when picking up speed during traffic? -For 2014, Mitsubishi claims to have reduced NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) levels in the cabin. QUOTE(Gambit_SKC @ May 11 2014, 11:08 PM) I put 230KPA in it. A friend of mine who is very into ASX recommended it and I agree. Previously I did 210KPA but 230KPA actually create a better wheel alignment to your steering and drive. Mmmm, i think i will put 30psi into it. I haven't pump the tyres yet, but that day in SC, they did pump it for me. Didn't ask how much they pumped in though.Lucifah, you should know the friend I am referring to, he is non other than Goldfish. |

The burning smell is normal for 4B11 engine, suspected coming from stock exhaust manifold (due to the engine layout, exhaust manifold facing firewall so will be more smelly)My inspira 4B11 already clocked 36k km of mileage still got the burning smell during sudden acceleration n revving.. My friend solved the problem by changing to aftermatket extractor.. This post has been edited by Kirie: May 13 2014, 06:43 PM |

I just checked out the new 4WD ASX. I'd have to say it is mighty enticing.

That should set up an opportunity to meet up with the rest of the owners. |
