QUOTE(lucifah @ Jan 5 2014, 11:16 AM) ...which he could care less about ; pHow's your ASX treating you? Giving you good 'ride' still. ASX is becoming a more common sight nowadays but it is still rare to see one with Panaromic glass roof. In term of space, am I right to say it is even spacier than CX5 from back seat passenger point of view? |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Jan 5 2014, 10:59 AM) CRV has conventional auto slush box, so it "feels" faster than the ASX when accelerating Yo deciding on colour, is the ASX in the picture silver or grey?ASX has better FC than CRV due to its lighter weight and cvt but overall, CRV gives more value. it is very spacious. it has the brand name. it can retain resale value. ![]() also ASX with 16" wheels looks very plain ![]() |

QUOTE(ivanpei @ Mar 30 2014, 10:30 AM) Was in Kuching for a few days. Saw plenty of Mitsubishi ASX on the road. I was in Melbourne and Sydney for 10 days earlier this month. After the CX5 the ASX was the 2nd most popular suv. Surprisingly I saw alot of the bigger Mitsubishi Outlander as well. Holy sh*t, bird sh*t on the roof is indeed very annoying ... The overwhelming popularity of Qashqai /dualis is the very reason Mitsubishi was inspired to make ASX. The ASX seems to be selling well world wide. I was surprised to see so many in Australia because the Asx is quite expensive over there, about the same price as the Nissan Dualis and the Mazda CX5. My friend was driving my wife and I around in his Nissan Dualis and while it's a nice car, I feel that the ASX interior is nicer. However the Aussie Dualis also has a nice panoramic sunroof. But when he opened it, the glass roof was full of bird shit, so I assume not that practical overseas as well hahaha. He also admitted using the 4wd only once during snow conditions for a ski trip in Victoria. I like the Dualis exterior look though, too bad can't get in KL since it would be a worthy competitor. Seen a few grey imports Dualis here in KL . Dualis is nice (gentleman-lady kind of nice) but ASX is just naughty (French maid kind of naughty ) Awaiting for loan approval -heard it is tough with bank negara tightening the lending guideline and risen interest rate to 2.8% that even caught many car dealers by surprise . If loan go through, etc. ASX is going my mrs.'s new ride, we have just booked last week after 2 months of consideration and almost a year long of planning. Tried and tested all the usual suspects and even the new breed of smaller crossover like Peugeot 2008 but at the end, settle for ASX for its overall all rounding wholesomeness - especially for lady driver. The compact yet high riding position and easily maneuverable car length was among the big pluses. 2WD is adequate for her 100% city, provincial roads and highway driving, so 2WD was the choice made. Hope to Join this club (by proxy) soon! |

I am not sure you guys know but ASX was redesigned by PSA (Peugeot and Citroen ) with collaboration with Mitsubishi and two models were born - Peugeot 4008 and Citroen C4 Aircross
See the "naughtiness "? But too bad just like Dualis/Qashqai , only available elsewhere! This post has been edited by EnergyAnalyst: Mar 30 2014, 01:47 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(ivanpei @ Mar 31 2014, 09:11 AM) I think the rebadged asx are worth getting if second hand because they look nice and since they are conti badged, the resale will be bad. But since it is actually a mitsubishi it will be as reliable as a rock! No lah don't bother coz inside are all the Same -be it interior or under the hood. Both these PSA are even made in Mitsubishi plant in Japan. The reason I brought up pug 4008 and Citroen c4 Aircross is to show them as testament to Mitsubishi's capability in making SUVs--- kind of endorsed by one of the oldest European car maker . And the fact ASX was chosen to be redesigned aesthetically speak volume about how under-appreciated the brilliance of ASX really is at times. QUOTE(whchoy @ Apr 3 2014, 03:56 PM) Hi all, did you pay by cash or credit card or cheque?I test drive the ASX in balakong showroom 2 weeks ago and book the car next day with the sales guy who I met in the showroom. The very next day called the office and found that the salesman resigned and immediately ask whether my booking in or not. They said received my booking and assign a new sales guy for me. Today salesman called and said car allocated. I was very happy and call the office to check how much is my deposit due. The office ask me to check with the salesman said it's his job to let me know the figure. At the same time ask them whether they received my booking fees of RM1K and they said never received and I immediately freak out. I said I paid RM1K when I book my car and fax them a copy of my VSO. After they check they said the VSO they received from the new salesman is a difference one. This is where i lose my patience and told them that whatever is it, I paid my booking fees and the guy who received my payment and issued VSO to me was under your company's name (if the guy resigned, he shouldn;t carry the VSO). They said they will talk to the manager first. MY mood switch from very exciting to miserable now. What should I do now? if by the latter two, surely your bank statement will show, if they still achi acho, go to consumer tribunal at Dataran Merdeka KL to make a case |

QUOTE(whchoy @ Apr 3 2014, 04:32 PM) since now car allocated to me and loan approved. Normally how long do I need to wait to register the car once I made my down payment? Do they need to wait for bank to release the loan first? I am a bit confused, you have placed 1k for deposit (for booking) only right? and your bank loan i assume is 90% financing? have you pay the balance of 10% (minus) deposit or you need not because you trade in your old car?for car registration, you have to settle all differences between the car selling price and your bank loan amount to start the process, once you did that, the dealer has to register the car with JPJ, (usually within days), it is in the dealer's interst to have it done fast so that they can then ask your bank to release the money to them in exchange for your car registration car forwarded to them (your car registration car will have your bank endorsed in the registration car with them having ownership claim) Your 1k deposit should be mentioned in the document provided to your bank to et your car HP Loan, so dealer cannot claim they never received the 1k |

QUOTE(whchoy @ Apr 3 2014, 04:59 PM) I did not trade in any car. I'm waiting for them to give me the balance between the car price and my loan amount. I will need them to deduct NCD as well. But the office said all this is to be done by the salesman. Have you sign the HP loan agreement from the bank? You are right your Sales agent has been lousy not even bothering to explain to U |

QUOTE(ivanpei @ Apr 9 2014, 09:24 AM) I will go for Asx over civic 1.8 too. Civic you get tin kosong car and 1.8 engine only. Asx you get a 2.0 engine, leather seats, navigation, rear view camera, auto rain and light sensors and higher seating height. Any day, it feels more premium than a tin kosong civic. Also crossover "status" is equivalent to a d segment while a compact sedan is a compact sedan. D segment/crossover/suv= managerial Civic/compact sedans= senior exec City/vios/b segment= junior exec |
