A 2 door coupe..so niche market? Cool but not so practical if it is only 2_door. Production version should have 4 doors

Hi Fellow ASX owners,

I am just curious..and would like to ask for your opinions

Do you think HRV from Honda can be a threat to our ASX of 2WD? although one is C segment and another is B segment but i have seen how they have stretched City to have 'bigger than D segment legroom' for the rear passenger and since HR is base on Jazz/City, HRV should have quite generous space treatment too. 1.8 CVT vs 2.0 CVT. I think it can attract potential buyer since Honda is a more common brand and HRV is newer.

what do you guys think?

CRV 2.0 is way too much underpower. I hope HRV is not.

Not sure how big is the different between 2.0 and 1.8.

Need to drive before can conclude.

Looking at the pricing of the HRV and Honda's lack of accessories, I think ASX is still the value winner. If the 1.8 is released, base version should 120-125k (must be more expensive than the civic 1.8), it will likely have basic accessories. For leather seat GPS etc etc, The HRV will likely be in the 130k region.

So would you pay 130k for a 1.8 HRV which is one class smaller than the 115k 2.0 ASX? No matter how I see it, the ASX is still the value winner. However Honda's brand is strong in Malaysia and they will still be buyers for the HRV guaranteed. Maybe suitable for ladies who don't want such a big car.

BTW just got my car serviced at the PJ service center. They fixed my gearbox rattle issue. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif The car is now perfect!

For 2014 they gave 6k discount...for 2015 they gave 1k-3k discount...most of showroom recommended 2wd to me coz they said more fuel efficient compared to 4wd but my eyes juz cant keep from 4wd...seriously i think push start button, stability control and hsa shud be in 2wd where this feature hv in hr-v...panaromic roof n paddle shifter is so2 to me..

Currently, I get my 4wd abt 3 months. 4wd can switch to 2wd, it will save fuel consumption. My best record when switched 2wd is average 6.7L/100km in highway driving.

4wd has 1 disadvantage, that is it is heavier by 100kg

Even if u use 2wd mode, u are still lugging 100kg excess weight...

Design wise the HRV wins hands down. ASX design looks kinda old and aged. Its time Mitsu kill of this model and replace it.
