already update the latest firmware. read from previous post, stated that the gingerbread still got a lot bugs, so i think wait until the official one only upgrade..i hate SOD...

Just letting you guys know that this is the first time my phone went over 24 hours without an SOD.

All I did was have the firmware reverted to an older version. My baseband used to be S5830DXKC1, now it's S5830XXKA6. Sadly, they didn't have the older Asian versions so they had to use European, but that's a small price to pay for not having SODs. Besides, I only use English anyway.

If you have S5830DXKA9 all the better.

yup. the apn is internet + mms which the setting is sent by maxis.

delete the sim card contacts..that is what i did.

The downside is your sim card will be empty of contacts if you switch phone.

(you can still restore it later if you want or backup as .vcf file)

Why not sync to Google Contacts?

ya, also can, i just assuming if you depended on the sim card to store contacts, then your phone unlikely to be another android OR internet enabled...
