plugged in ace to pc via the usb and getting this "reconnect the device on samsung kies(pc studio)mode.Kies doesn't support this connect mode." can anyone help me with this please?

are u just planned to do file transfer only?
if yes, pull down notification bar after connected USB cable, enabled USB connection, pop out another black screen and enable USB storage again... your "My Computer" will show the media drive...

for rooting purposes , pull out sdcard according to the steps in first page and now stuck at no 4 . no notification at all after usb is connected. no

connection to kies also .

restart the laptop , probably the damn thing confused between broadband usb and ace usb . all is ok now


so basically what kind of apps did you guys pushed to the sd card ?

my SGA can't connect to my pc. i wonder wat is going on... it can be connected last time... any sifus here can gv some advice?

try turn on and off ur sga

i tried restart my pc n sga. still the same... tick n untick the usb debugging can connect, but my kies can't detect my sga.

it decided by SGA itself and never question where to install...
as sense, those service/widget/background apps will install at internal memory; other apps such as games will install at sd card... the reasons is bcos to prevent hot swap the sd card and SGA forced to shut down the service/widget/background apps....

I no sifu , maybe you can try to Unplug any device connected to pc (via the usb hole) , shut down , on it back and connect your ace. Or try updating kies 1st.

still... can't get the Kies to detect my sga. even when i first plug in sga to pc, the only thing that shows is a "thunderbolt" on the battery gauge, which means charging. as i remember, normally plug in the phone, should hv "usb debugging" n "select to transfer file" icon show up. now... nothing!

any sifus here can help? i tried the methods that sifus recommended earlier, but still no way to solve it.

i having wifi sod when first get the phone, it juz black screen then restart when on WIFI on first day, after google and found out that, disable the WIFI sleep can help. after i do the same setting, so far so good now. am not sure is these happen on me only or not....

i tried this method few times already too. not working either.

Erm, for me, this is what had happened to me for the past few days...

The wifi sleep setting was ON, my SGA was connected to my house's wifi.

Then, I went to my workplace(wifi still ON) and found out that my SGA was off, automatically, I guess it's because my SGA couldn't detect my house's wifi.

After switching it off and voila, everything's fine already

Better let the sleep policy off I guess...

sorry everyone, i lazy to read throught the whole 107 pages of this SGA forum. Can anyone tell me wat causes the SGA have the problem of SOD?

bro, even I did the same to turn OFF the sleep mode on WIFI, but SOD came back later on after that...

ya, thats y i not sure the WIFI sleep set to off policy can work for everyone o not, but at least it working for me

sigh~ stil no official GB for us T_T

as believe will take some times as customized version on GB for SGA required due to different hardware for different hp... just like customize Microsoft OS in the Recovery CD to suit with Dell or HP computers for 100% compatibility...
